Technology Automation and AI Implementation Manager, London, Permanent
Working with business owners to identify immediate pain points and opportunities this role will design, manage and build data visualisation solutions through use of PowerPlatform and D&A capabilities. Where existing tooling is not sufficient the role will identify tooling improvements and develop business cases to support their introduction to the enterprise.
Responsible for the identification of process, application and service candidates for de-duplication and automation. This role requires a balance of creative thinking and innovation while demonstrating best in class governance and managed change.
Key Accountabilities
Systemic risk management and continuous operations improvements:
- Identify and deliver automations to streamline operational processes and procedures identify non value added activity
- Enhance Pay.UK’s customer offering through delivery of new innovative tools and data insights
- Encourage Pay.UK SME’s to innovate and adopt new tools and technologies by demonstrating value through high quality delivery
- Join data points from across R&S, Operations, IT, 1LOD and Business Services to deliver cross functional outcomes
- Use data insights to quantify and manage systemic risk
Automation and implementation of AI outcomes:
- Define guidelines and principles for business led delivery of AI solutions
- Identify and prioritise candidate list for delivery of AI automations
- Where appropriate define business cases for the above including cost and benefit analysis
- Deliver AI solutions in a controlled fashion including end user training
Release Execution:
- Using expertise, coordinate release activities, ensuring alignment and a smooth and timely deployment process, across multiple teams including external 3rd party vendors, customers and Bank of England. (Note: this this may necessitate running deployment calls outside of normal working hours).
- Develop and manage communication and coordination plans for each release with internal and external stakeholders, keeping them informed about release progress and potential issues.
- Maintain a full record of release activities and timings against the release plan e.g. planned start/finish versus actual start/finish.
- Conduct post-release reviews with all stakeholders, internal and external, to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement, feeding back into the ongoing process.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Proven experience in IT release management, with a track record of successful software releases within Financial Services preferably Payments
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) principles.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills
- Experience of stakeholder negotiation to align interests, overcoming challenges with strategic intent and technical proficiency.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional, multi-vendor and multi-customer environment.
- Experience with release management tools and version control systems.
- Knowledge of ITIL practices.
- Experience of Agile methodologies and familiarity of DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of the regulatory and supervisory regime as it applies to Pay.UK
- Experience in complex organisations with diverse stakeholders and significant regulatory oversight.
