Senior Product Owner – PSP Integrations

As a Senior Product Owner – PSP Integrations, you will lead the strategic design, execution, and continuous improvement of our payment integrations and the financial systems that support them. This includes managing integrations with payment service providers (PSPs), acquirers, and local payment methods, as well as overseeing key financial infrastructures such as merchant subledgers, reconciliation engines, and balance management.

You will serve as the bridge between technology, finance, operations, and external partners — ensuring scalable, compliant, and financially accurate solutions that support the growth of our PSP business across LATAM and other regions.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Strategy & Ownership
• Define and lead the product vision and roadmap for PSP integrations and financial systems.
• Align product strategy with business goals, compliance requirements, and local market needs.
• Own the end-to-end product lifecycle: discovery, definition, delivery, optimization, and support.
• PSP Integrations
• Lead the integration of new payment providers, acquirers, and alternative payment methods.
• Define technical and functional requirements for transaction flows, refunds, chargebacks, and settlement.
• Ensure robust error handling, retries, status reconciliation, and SLA management.
• Act as main contact for external partners during certification, testing, and go-live.
• Financial Infrastructure & Ledger Design
• Translate financial logic into scalable system behavior for subledgers, payins, payouts, MDR, fees, FX, and taxes.
• Design and maintain data models and business rules for transaction and balance movements.
• Ensure consistency of financial state via event-driven architecture and real-time balance tracking.
• Compliance, Reconciliation & Controls
• Collaborate with Finance, Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure traceability, auditability, and correctness of financial transactions.
• Contribute to automated reconciliation processes between PSPs, internal ledgers, and bank accounts.
• Monitor financial accuracy and performance across payin and payout channels.
• Stakeholder & Partner Management
• Collaborate with Engineering, Architecture, Operations, Risk, and Commercial teams.
• Communicate product vision, scope, and trade-offs to internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Ensure requirements are clearly documented and aligned with both business and technical expectations.
• Agile Delivery & Execution
• Manage product backlog with clear user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Drive product development through agile ceremonies and close collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Participate in test planning, certification, and UAT to validate integration and financial correctness.
• Continuous Improvement
• Analyze product performance, error trends, and financial discrepancies to drive enhancements.
• Stay updated on evolving payment regulations, technologies, and market practices (e.g., ISO 20022, PIX, CVU, etc.).
• Improve time-to-market and quality of PSP onboarding through reusable frameworks and documentation standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• 8+ years of experience in product management, business analysis, or technical leadership in fintech or payments.
• Proven experience delivering PSP or acquirer integrations at scale.
• Strong understanding of payment lifecycles (authorization, capture, settlement, reconciliation).
• Experience managing financial systems such as subledgers, balance engines, or financial data models.
• Solid knowledge of REST APIs, webhook-based integrations, authentication protocols, and error handling strategies.
• Familiarity with accounting flows, FX, taxes, and merchant pricing models.
• Experience with event-driven or microservice-based architectures.
• Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and data analysis tools (SQL is a plus).
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Spanish (Portuguese is a plus).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Business, or equivalent. Certifications (e.g., CSPO, CBAP) are a plus.
