Junior Payment Product Operations

Enabling our daily operations is our e-money institution, Pay.cetera. Pay.cetera is an integral part of Paymenttools and our success. Pay.cetera is looking for a motivated Junior Product Operations specialist to join our team and play a pivotal role in our daily payment ecosystem. You will handle essential day-to-day tasks like payment approvals and account reconciliation while ensuring our product processes are meticulously documented for regulatory compliance. This is a unique opportunity for a junior professional to grow into strategic product work as our product portfolio expands and matures. Your Tasks

• You will be the backbone of our daily payment operations while helping us build a transparent, compliant product environment.
• You are accountable for the integrity of our daily payment operations, overseeing the end-to-end approval and reconciliation process to guarantee seamless and better transactions.
• Create and maintain detailed product and process documentation required for regulatory compliance, covering end-to-end workflows from customer action to merchant settlement.
• Support the product team in defining compliant workflows and operational processes for new features, such as third party integrations or licensing procedures.
• Create process diagrams to provide a clear overview of technical and operational steps.
• Collaborate regularly across teams in Paymenttools and the wider REWE group.

Your Experience

• Proficiency in both German and English is required. Business level German is particularly critical, as most regulatory and process documentation is in German.
• A degree in Economics, Business Administration, or Business Law or similar is highly preferred.
• A foundational understanding of payment systems and first touch points in the banking, payment, or operations fields is ideal.
• We value candidates who have completed relevant internships or working student roles in finance related businesses.
• While we will provide training, experience with SAP is a major plus. Familiarity with tools like Miro, Confluence, or Jira is also desirable.

Note: This role is based in Venlo (5 mins across the border) with a 50% on-site requirement. Enjoy flexibility to work the rest of your time from home or from our Cologne (Carlswerk) office!
