You can expect from us
π§ Your Focus: You'll be spearheading the development and launch of our new direct acquiring solution within merchant services. This includes identifying and integrating new payment methods (APM), optimising existing payment flows, and ensuring a seamless and secure customer experience
π§βπ€βπ§ Product Team: You'll be a part of a collaborative team, working alongside another Product Owner responsible for another product. You'll also have the support of a dedicated Business Analyst on the IT side
π€ Reporting line: You'll report directly to our experienced Head of Operations, who brings a wealth of FinTech expertise to PayDo
π¨π»βπ» Collaboration: You'll work closely with the Department Heads and serve as the key liaison between stakeholders and our talented development team (IT & Design)

Your regular tasks
- Define the Product Vision: Develop and communicate a compelling product vision aligned with the companyβs strategic objectives
- Manage the Product Backlog: Develop, prioritise, and maintain a comprehensive product backlog to guide development efforts
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary liaison between stakeholders and the development team. Manage stakeholder expectations and incorporate feedback into the product backlog
- Requirements, Defining User Stories and Acceptance Criteria: Develop clear and concise user stories and acceptance criteria
- Development and releases: Ensuring product excellence is at the core of this role. Collaborate closely with design and development teams to deliver exceptional user experiences. Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from concept to launch, guaranteeing product quality and adherence to company standards. This includes defining and executing comprehensive testing strategies, managing release processes, and addressing post-release issues promptly
- Decision Making: Make strategic feature decisions, manage project scope, and prioritise features based on business value and impact
- Review Progress and Outcomes: Participate in sprint reviews and demos to assess product progress and gather feedback. Facilitate feedback sessions with the team and stakeholders to drive continuous improvement
- Market and User Research: Conduct thorough market and competitor analysis to inform product strategy. Share insights with the team through training sessions and documentation
- Analytics: Utilise data analytics to identify areas for improvement in the product. This includes analysing metrics like transaction times, success rates, and user behaviour to identify bottlenecks and optimize user experience
- Communication with Partners/Payment Providers: Research and onboard new payment providers. Manage ongoing communication and data exchange with payment providers
- Documentation. Maintain comprehensive and accessible product documentation. Ensure all product information is up-to-date and easily accessible to relevant stakeholders
Skills and qualifications
- 4+ years of successful product management experience within the FinTech, PayTech, Hi-Tech, E-commerce, SaaS, or iGaming sectors
- Prior in-house experience with fintech products (B2C/B2B) within a payments processing environment is essential
- Experience in launching and managing successful online products for merchants (ideally launching the same service)
- Thorough knowledge of payment gateways, card networks (Visa, Mastercard), acquiring banks, and industry regulations
- Expertise in traditional and emerging payment methods, including digital wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay), mobile money transfers, cryptocurrencies, and open banking
- Proven ability to define product strategy, build roadmaps, and prioritise features based on business value and user needs
- Proven ability to effectively gather and incorporate feedback from internal and external stakeholders
- Proven track record of successfully improving product commercial performance and enhancing user experience
- Experience with complex web and mobile application development
- Expertise in UX/UI design, including user interface validation and redesign
- Strong understanding of user needs and ability to translate them into user stories and acceptance criteria
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in using product and conversion analytics tools
As a plus
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements in financial services (e.g., GDPR, AML)
