Business Generalist

New York Office

About Parloa

Parloa’s mission is to make every customer conversation feel effortless for both customers and the companies serving them. As agentic AI accelerates, Parloans are shaping the foundation of a new era in customer experience - one where customer support is no longer transactions, but meaningful exchanges. It is not just a vision; Parloa has powered over ONE BILLION interactions between global enterprise brands and their customers, with companies like Booking.com HealthEquity, Allianz, SAP, BarmeniaGothaer and TUI already deploying Parloa at scale.

About the role:

As we enter our next phase of hyper-growth, we are seeking elite business generalists to join and grow a range of our functions. This is a high-bandwidth, high-visibility role designed for highly driven candidates who thrive on ambiguity and possess an “operator mindset."

This is a multi-disciplinary leadership track. Rather than slotting you into a rigid functional box today, we hire for raw talent, rigorous thinking, and extreme ownership. Based on your specific "superpower" and our priorities, you will be deployed into one of three critical functions: Chief of Staff, Business Operations, or Strategic Finance.

Areas of ownership:

Depending on your background and Parloa’s strategic roadmap, you will own one of the following domains:

  • Chief of Staff: Act as the high-bandwidth force multiplier and strategic architect for the executive team. You will spearhead "Zero-to-One" breakthroughs while serving as the primary connective tissue across the organization. By identifying latent cross-functional risks and synchronizing disparate workstreams, you ensure our most ambitious strategic bets are translated into flawless, company-wide execution.
  • Business Operations: You are the architect of the "unowned" and the company’s ultimate finisher. You will identify and institutionalize high-impact opportunities that fall between functional silos, taking full end-to-end accountability for remediating stalled metrics and standing up entire organizational functions from scratch.
  • Strategic Finance: Build the financial engine that fuels our global expansion and drives long-term enterprise value. You will define the capital allocation strategies and unit-economic models that steer board-level decisions, transforming complex data into the high-stakes ROI narratives that define our market trajectory.

The Path Forward: These roles are designed as an accelerated leadership track; by mastering the company’s systemic levers today, you are positioning yourself to transition into a P&L/product owning line leadership role as we continue to scale.

Who you are:

We are looking for the "top 1%" of polymaths - those who possess a rare blend of strategic polish and operational grit.

  • Experience: 4 to 8 years of experience spanning top-tier professional services (MBB, Investment Banking, or VC/PE) and a high-growth startup environment.
  • Academic Excellence: Degree from an Ivy League or equivalent elite global institution is a strong plus but not a prerequisite for those with equivalent "scar tissue”.
  • Executive Presence: You can hold your own in a boardroom and translate complex AI transitions into clear, actionable business outcomes for stakeholders.
  • Bias for Action:You don’t just strategize - you execute. You are equally comfortable at 30,000 feet as you are in ground-level implementation, with the agility to move between the two in a single afternoon.
  • High EQ, Low Ego: You prioritize the mission above all else. You have the emotional intelligence to navigate complex dynamics and the humility to roll up your sleeves whenever the team needs you.

Why Parloa?

We’re at the beginning of a new era in customer experience, one where AI doesn’t just respond, but understands, reasons, and takes action. We’re building agentic AI that enterprises trust with their most important customer moments: complex questions, high volumes, real stakes. When millions of people reach out to a brand, those interactions aren’t just support tickets; they’re defining experiences. We’re here to raise the standard: making every conversation seamless, intelligent, and genuinely helpful. If you care about shaping how businesses and customers connect at scale - and want your work to matter in real, everyday moments - this is where you do it.

At Parloa, ownership isn’t a buzzword; it means being accountable for outcomes, not just tasks. We operate in a category that’s evolving fast, where the bar is high, and the problems are complex. We hire people who think in solutions, communicate with clarity, and follow through. People who are comfortable making decisions, taking responsibility, and raising the standard for themselves and those around them.

We’ve grown beyond the earliest startup phase, but we’ve kept the intensity: fast execution, direct feedback, and a strong expectation to contribute meaningfully from day one.

Backed by leading global investors like General Catalyst, EQT Ventures, and Altimeter Capital, we’re scaling with a clear ambition: to become the global category leader in enterprise-grade conversational AI.

Form CC-305

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
