YOUR MISSION

As Manager Sales Engineering (PreSales) DACH (f/m/d)*, you will lead and grow our Sales Engineering team across the DACH market. Your mission is to ensure the team's success in understanding customer needs, translating those into technical solutions, and fostering a customer-first mindset - ultimately driving revenue growth and long-term customer satisfaction.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL

  • Lead a team of 5+ Sales Engineers with varying seniority levels (onsite & remote)
  • Reporting to the Head of Sales Engineering for the European region, you'll collaborate with regional sales leaders to align priorities and scale success across the DACH market
  • Set a clear strategic direction for the Sales Engineering team and ensure alignment with our company goals
  • Use your technical and business acumen to shape together with your team AI voice solutions that transform customer service, sales, and marketing processes
  • Coach, mentor, and develop your team - creating a high-performance culture that values impact, ownership, and teamwork
  • Define success metrics and provide structured, constructive feedback to ensure ongoing development and execution
  • Navigate the team through growth and change with clarity and empathy
  • Act as the primary partner for three Regional Sales Directors / Team Leads in DACH to deliver Parloa’s value proposition
  • Build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders — including Marketing, Enablement, Product, Customer Experience, and Professional Services
  • Balance long-term strategy with hands-on leadership and operational execution

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

  • 2+ years of leadership experience with a proven ability to build, inspire, and grow high-performing teams larger than 5 members
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Sales Engineer or in a comparable technical customer-facing role, ideally at a SaaS vendor
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise IT architecture, integrations, and business process flows
  • A transformational mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement
  • Strong customer intuition - you know how to listen, advise, and de-escalate when needed
  • Excellent communication skills in both German (C2/native) and English (C1)

  • Familiarity with contact centers, telephony, AI solutions, or customer service technology
  • Previous experience working in a high-growth startup or scale-up environment
