KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Head of Embedded Finance will be responsible for driving the strategy, development, and commercialization of embedded financial services within our payments platform. This role will require a deep understanding of financial products, payments technology, and the embedded finance ecosystem. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, technology, sales, and partnerships, to build and scale innovative solutions that help businesses seamlessly integrate payment and financial services into their offerings.
- Strategy Development & Execution: Develop and execute the strategy for embedded finance solutions, including embedded payments, lending, banking-as-a-service (BaaS), and other financial products. Define the vision for embedded finance and align it with company objectives.
- Product Innovation: Lead the development of new embedded finance products and features, working closely with the product and engineering teams to ensure the solutions meet customer needs and industry standards.
- Market Analysis & Positioning: Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitors in the embedded finance space. Use these insights to position the company’s offerings and ensure our solutions remain at the forefront of innovation.
- Partnership Development: Build and manage relationships with key strategic partners, including banks, financial institutions, technology providers, and third-party vendors, to drive the adoption of embedded finance solutions.
- Revenue Growth: Drive the revenue growth of the embedded finance segment, ensuring that the solutions contribute to the overall growth and profitability of the business. Develop pricing models, business cases, and go-to-market strategies.
- Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure that all embedded finance products and services comply with relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., PSD2, open banking, AML/KYC). Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to mitigate risks and ensure smooth operations.
- Sales & Marketing Alignment: Work with the sales and marketing teams to create go-to-market strategies, messaging, and sales enablement materials for embedded finance solutions. Support the sales team in engaging clients and closing deals.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in the fintech, payments, or financial services sectors, with a strong background in embedded finance, BaaS, or digital banking solutions. Experience in leading product development and go-to-market strategies is essential.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Lead cross-functional teams to ensure the successful launch and scale-up of embedded finance products. Work with tech, operations, legal, and customer success teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Customer-Centric Approach: Focus on understanding customer pain points and ensuring that embedded finance solutions deliver real value to users. Gather feedback from customers and leverage it to improve the products.
- Team Leadership & Development: Lead and mentor a team of product managers, business development professionals, and other staff to execute on the embedded finance vision. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and results.
