Key Responsabilities:
You will be providing legal advice to two very fast growing and exciting businesses within PagoNxt Payments: Payments Hub (a global, cloud-native payments processing platform) and SWIFT service bureau (global SWIFT messages processor). These two businesses provide critical payments processing and technology services to financial entities around the globe.
The Legal team is at the heart of PagoNxt Payments, being a truly integral part of the business. Our goal is to be the best partner for the business by being proactive, adding value and delivering high quality, commercially-focused, legal support. We are a fantastic and ambitious team, supporting the business and other PagoNxt Payments teams to achieve our goals every day.
What will you be doing?
- Drafting and negotiating IT contracts with suppliers, including advice on commercial, IT, IP and data protection aspects.
- Drafting and negotiating critical outsourcing service contracts with financial services customers, including advice on commercial, IT, IP and data protection aspects.
- Working with product and commercial teams to design and deliver solutions that meet customer and market expectations and are compliant with regulations.
- Contributing to the legal strategy of the company and horizon scanning.
- Handling high profile and complex legal matters with short turnaround times
Key Requirements:
- 6 years
- Law Degree
- C1 English
- Excellent academic credentials.
- Strong experience advising on IT, IP and data protection law.
- Strong experience of financial services regulation, including EBA guidelines on outsourcing, DORA and cybersecurity regulations.
- Sound judgement, ability to think and operate under pressure and work collaboratively.
Other relevant information
- Nice to have: LLM in Data Protection, IP or IT law would be valued. Enthusiasm, good vibes and proactivity will be key for this role.
