Lead Solutions Architect

PagoNxt Trade is looking for a Senior Solutions Architect, based in our Madrid office.

This role will be part of our PagoNxt Trade Solutions team and will be responsible for delivering fast, efficient trade finance, supplying chain and FX payments solutions for international SMEs that were once only accessible to larger corporations.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

 As a Lead Solutions Architect, you will join the IT Architecture team and will be responsible of designing, describing and managing technical solutions for our payments platform. We are looking for passionate and innovative individuals that demonstrate the ability to think strategically about business and create/model technical solutions. You will play a critical role in the software development cycle, from gathering requirements to orchestrating other architecture team’s inputs. You will have to frequently examine functional specifications and translate them into system guidelines and patterns that shape project development.

We need someone like you to help us in different fronts:

  • Lead brainstorming sessions to develop potential solutions for business needs or problems.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements
  • Work with business units to develop IT strategies and improve current IT implementations.
  • Work with product and delivery teams to develop scalable solutions and products.
  • Work with developer teams, answering questions or helping to resolve issues as they arise
  • Examine existing systems and programs to identify areas for improvement and integration
  • Review application solution designs for cloud-fit, secure, scalable, performant, and reusable patterns
  • Create High Level Designs for End-to-End Solution, get it reviewed and approved by appropriate stakeholders from various participating domains.
  • Participate with Agile teams and document high-level design and hand-off work to next group in the development pipeline
  • Continually research the current and emerging technologies and propose changes where needed

 

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience (>5 years) as a Solution Architect or similar role
  • Experience & knowledge of payment solutions
  • Previous project management experience is advantageous
  • Sound knowledge of various operating systems and databases
  • Certified Cloud Solution Architect Professional (Azure or AWS) or equivalent experience
  • Extensive experience in architecting enterprise grade cloud native applications in Azure or AWS
  • Experience with Micro-services and Event driven architecture, API design and management (web services, REST, Web API, ESB, message-based) development, integration, and deployment
  • Ability to present ideas, concepts, project requirements, and design specifications verbally and in writing
  • Strong facilitation, negotiation, interpersonal, communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, capable of leading less experienced architects
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and an ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Strong team oriented mindset.

  • Associate degree in computer science or an IT related field
