
Product Owner
The Product Owner is a role focused on defining the vision for a product, domain or set of features within PagoNxt Payments. The role follows the guidelines of the Agile / Scrum framework, and aligns with the responsibilities as defined in there.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Gain a complete understanding of the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for their specific product or feature.
- Gain a high level understanding of the technical architecture and capabilities of the product platform.
- Gain a deep understanding of the customer needs, feedback, and behaviour for their specific product or feature.
- Ownership of product metrics: efficiency, quality, speed, etc. for their specific product or feature.
- Contribute to the definition and implementation of product processes, tools, and methods that optimise the product development lifecycle.
- Benchmark / socialise / evangelise product best practices with internal and external stakeholders.
- Define, own and coordinate product initiatives that improve collaboration, communication, and alignment across product teams locally and cross border.
- Contribute to the identification of product challenges and opportunities within their domain.
- Coordination with internal stakeholders (mostly, Technical Anchors, but also other Product Managers, Customer Success Managers, etc.) to ensure smooth and consistent product delivery.
Deliverables
- Contribute to the launch of a new product or feature that meets customer needs and business goals.
- Conducting audits to understand current gaps and areas for improvement within their domain with local and global parties.
- Preparing reports on product metrics and providing recommendations for optimisation.
- Strategise on how to increase productivity, quality, and speed of product teams.
- Implementing solutions that enhance collaboration, communication, and alignment across product teams.
Metrics examples
- Productivity: number of features delivered per sprint within their domain, time spent on administrative tasks vs. value-added tasks, etc.
- Quality: number of bugs reported per feature within their domain, customer satisfaction score, net promoter score (NPS), etc.
- Speed: time to market, time to value, cycle time, lead time, percentage of readiness, etc. within their domain.
Stakeholders
- Close partnership with the Product Management team in Brazil, UK and Spain.
- Cross-functional relationship with Engineering, Customer Success, etc. within their domain.
- Direct access to customers.
A day in the life
A typical day might involve meetings with different product teams in different regions to discuss progress on current initiatives within their domain, analysing product data to gain insights and identify issues, and strategising on how to improve key metrics.
A week in the life
In a week, they might conduct audits to understand current gaps and areas for improvement within their domain. They might also prepare reports on product metrics and provide recommendations for optimisation.
A month in the life
Over a month, they might oversee the implementation of a new process or tool that enhances collaboration, communication, and alignment across product teams within their domain. This would involve coordinating with various teams for smooth execution. They would monitor the impact of this new solution on key metrics.
They would also be involved in strategic planning for future quarters based on current performance data and market trends.
Role success factors
- A strong background in product management or related fields in a SaaS environment.
- Experience in using tools and methods to optimise the product development lifecycle.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate product vision and value proposition to internal and external audiences.
- A collaborative and proactive mindset to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- A customer-centric and problem-solving approach to identify customer pain points and deliver solutions.
AND FOR THIS YOU NEED:
- Previously experience with PIX Product and payments(desirable);
- Knowledge on agile methods, SCRUM or Kanban;
- Previous experience working as Product Manager;
- Previous experience working with dashboards and data lake(desirable);
- English or Spanish is highly desirable for this position due to interactions with cross borders stakeholders.
