Executive Assistance (Maternity Cover)

We are looking to recruit an Executive Assistant (Maternity Cover) to support the leadership team at Oxford Royale. This role will involve working closely with the Founder & Executive Chairman and the CEO, as well as supporting members of the Senior Management Team, helping ensure the smooth running of executive operations across the business.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised, proactive and adaptable professional to work at the centre of a fast-growing international education company. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting senior leadership, managing a wide variety of administrative and operational tasks, and ensuring that priorities are managed effectively in a busy and fast-paced environment.

The role requires someone who is comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy, able to handle confidential information with discretion, and capable of managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. The successful candidate will be flexible, resourceful, and confident working across a broad range of tasks and systems, often adapting quickly to new tools, software and processes.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Providing day-to-day executive support to the Founder & Executive Chairman and CEO, including calendar management, scheduling meetings, and coordinating travel arrangements.
  • Supporting the Senior Management Team with administrative and operational tasks as required.
  • Managing internal and external communications on behalf of senior leadership, including email correspondence and meeting coordination.
  • Preparing documents, presentations, reports and briefing materials for meetings and projects.
  • Assisting with company-wide projects, operational tasks and ad hoc initiatives as required.
  • Coordinating meetings, taking notes where required, and ensuring actions are followed up.
  • Managing and organising confidential documents, records and information.
  • Liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and project delivery.
  • Helping implement and maintain internal systems and processes, including trialling and learning new software tools where needed.
  • Providing flexible support across a wide range of business activities, particularly during peak operational periods.

Person Specification

Essential Requirements

  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly proactive with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and evolving environment with frequent changes.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to handle a wide range of tasks.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a wider team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to use initiative.
  • High level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Confident using digital tools and willing to learn new systems quickly.

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience working as an Executive Assistant or in a similar senior administrative role.
  • Experience supporting senior executives or leadership teams.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car (preferred).

Position Details

  • 40 hours per week.
  • Fixed Term Contract: 12 months maternity cover, starting Mid-June 2026
  • Based at our office in Oxford. Some hybrid working may also be considered.
  • 32 days’ holiday per year (inclusive of public and bank holidays).
