Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organised HR Administrator to join our team, on a fixed term basis. The HR Administrator will play a crucial role in supporting various HR functions, ensuring smooth operations and contributing to the overall success of our HR department.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing day-to-day HR administrative tasks, such as maintaining employee records, updating databases and handling documentation
  • Acting as the first point of contact for employee queries, ensuring prompt and professional responses
  • Utilising HRIS tools to input and manage employee data, generate reports and maintain data accuracy
  • Assisting in the implementation and adherence to HR policies and procedures
  • Ensuring the accurate, timely and compliant completion of the onboarding process
  • Supporting the planning and delivery of HR events and initiatives to promote a positive and inclusive work environment

Person Specification

We are looking for someone who embodies the following:

  • Proven experience in an HR Administrator or Coordinator role is essential
  • Exceptional organisational and time-management skills, with an ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Tech-savvy, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems, tools and processes
  • A strong team player with a willingness to collaborate and support others
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships across the organisation
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality in handling sensitive information

Desirable Requirements

  • Previous experience using HRIS tools is advantageous
  • Familiarity with managing the onboarding process, particularly in fast-paced environments with high volumes of new hires
  • Self starter, ability to work autonomously and find solutions

Position Details

  • Type of employment: Fixed-Term Contract from April 2026 to the end of July 2026
  • Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (9:00 AM to 5:30 PM). 
  • Salary: up to £30,000 per annum (pro-rata), depending on experience
  • Location: Hybrid working, with at least one day per week in our Oxford City office (OX1) increasing to more days in the run-up to summer. In addition, twice a month as a full team in another Oxford office (currently OX4). Free on-site parking is available at both locations. If you are driving from North Oxford, there is no congestion charge to the city.
  • Holiday Entitlement: 32 days of annual leave (pro-rata), inclusive of bank holidays
  • Reporting: to the HR & Office Manager
