Outbrain is seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer  to join our global Information Technology group. Based out of our headquarters office in Israel and reporting to the IT/Security Infra manager.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT & Security Engineer to join our IT department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and securing our organization infrastructure. you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure that supports our company's operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our infrastructure, while also driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimize performance and efficiency.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive IT security strategies to safeguard company assets.
• Evaluate new technologies and trends in infrastructure management to recommend and implement improvements
• Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and support of servers, networks, and other Company infrastructure (Linux administration is a must)
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand their requirements, provide technical guidance, and ensure successful implementation.
• Support cloud infrastructure (e.g.,GCP, AWS, Azure) and ensure secure data management.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure automation scripts and tools to streamline deployment, configuration, and management processes.

What you’ll bring:

• Proven experience (3+ years) in IT security, network security, or a related role.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud - a must !
• Hands-on experience with firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security solutions.
• Proficiency in network protocols, systems administration, and cloud computing platforms.
• Experience with security tools such as SIEM, vulnerability scanners, and encryption tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• A strong proactive and “can do” approach.
• Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security controls.
