Product Manager
Remote / Berlin
Product Manager
Company
Orcrist builds the Orcrist Intelligence Platform (OIP), a Kubernetes-based data intelligence system delivered as SaaS or self-hosted/on-prem (including air-gapped deployments). We partner with defense, law-enforcement, and enterprise teams to make complex data actionable—securely and responsibly.
Role
Own Innovation’s initiative pipeline end-to-end: shaping high-leverage bets, running hypothesis-driven discovery, scoping thin vertical-slice prototypes, and producing adoption-ready handoff packages so delivery teams can productize and operate the work long-term.
What you'll do
- Run a transparent portfolio process for Innovation: problem selection, hypotheses, success metrics, and go/no-go decisions.
- Lead discovery with operational users and customer-facing teams; translate insights into crisp requirements and UX flows.
- Scope and ship thin vertical-slice prototypes with Engineering + Design (ingest → processing → ML/search → UI).
- Drive “adoption packages”: PRDs, UX flows, technical designs, data schemas, and integration backlogs with clear ownership.
- Ensure prototypes are measurable: instrumentation plans, telemetry dashboards, and outcome tracking across cloud/on-prem/air-gapped constraints.
About You
- 5+ years as a Product Manager in B2B SaaS/platforms in technical domains (data platforms, analytics, ML/AI-powered products, or developer platforms).
- Strong at mapping complex workflows into shippable slices with clear acceptance criteria and a definition of done.
- Data/metrics fluent: comfortable defining success metrics and collaborating on telemetry/dashboards.
- Comfortable partnering with engineering and design in ambiguous 0→1 environments; strong written documentation habits.
- Eligible to work in Germany; willing to travel to Berlin for periodic workshops and Germany/DACH user research.
Nice‑to‑haves
- Experience in regulated or mission-critical environments; familiarity with air-gapped or on-prem delivery constraints.
- Familiarity with investigative/analyst workflows (case files, CIR tracking, IPB-style artifacts) or adjacent domains.
- German language (B1+) and/or experience conducting pilot evaluations with public-sector users.
What We Offer
- Remote-first in Germany with hybrid Berlin office, 30 days vacation, equipment & learning budget.
- High ownership and end-to-end scope: prototypes spanning ingest, processing, ML enrichment, search, and UI.
- Mission-driven work supporting critical customers across public and private sectors.
