Role
We are looking for a highly analytical and curious M&A Analyst to join our growing team. In this role, you will work closely with our CFO and CEO to analyze our markets, evaluate competitors, and identify strategic opportunities and risks across our portfolio and pipeline companies. You will also contribute to financial analyses, forecasting, and executive reporting that support data-driven decision-making at the top level of the organization.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of finance, strategy, and market intelligence; someone who enjoys deep research, spotting patterns, and translating data into actionable insights.
What you'll do
- Conduct market and competitor analyses, including trend monitoring, market sizing, pricing models, and benchmarking.
- Identify growth opportunities and strategic risks, supporting the leadership team in evaluating new markets, business models, and potential acquisitions.
- Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support scenario planning, investment decisions, and company valuations.
- Prepare executive reports and presentations for the CFO, CEO, and board meetings, translating complex analyses into clear recommendations.
- Collaborate across teams to gather data, validate assumptions, and ensure consistency between operational and financial perspectives.
- Support ad-hoc strategic projects such as business case evaluations, profitability analyses, and due diligence on potential partners or targets.
- Continuously improve internal reporting processes, KPIs, and performance tracking frameworks.
About You
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 6 years of relevant experience in Strategic Finance, FP&A, Corporate Strategy, Consulting, or Market Intelligence.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills; advanced Excel or Google Sheets proficiency is a must.
- Experience with financial modelling, market research, and competitive benchmarking.
- Excellent business acumen and the ability to connect numbers with strategic implications.
- Strong communication and presentation skills — able to deliver insights clearly and concisely to senior leadership.
- A proactive mindset with a high degree of ownership, curiosity, and structured thinking.
- Excellent English skills, German is a plus
Nice‑to‑haves
- Familiarity with SQL, BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI), or similar data analytics tools
- Advanced financial modelling capabilities, including LBO models, operational modelling, and sensitivity analyses
- Experience with equity research, investment banking, consulting, or venture capital
- Familiarity with corporate development workflows such as target screening, synergy analysis, or integration planning
- Project management experience, particularly in cross-functional strategic initiatives
