Payroll Specialist (Maternity Leave Cover)

We are looking for an accurate and proactive Payroll Specialist (Maternity Leave Replacement, 9 months) to join our Finance team. The Payroll Specialist will handle monthly payroll in Israel and abroad, ensure compliance with tax and labor laws, support accurate and timely payments, and provide professional responses to employees. The ideal candidate is professional, highly organized, service-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a global team. Experience with Hilan payroll and attendance systems is an advantage.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Preparing, controlling and ensuring the accuracy of the monthly payroll in Israel including payslips distribution.
- Preparing, controlling, and ensuring the accuracy of the monthly payroll for all sites outside of Israel (including full-time employees and contractors), as well as payslip distribution.
- Overseeing employee onboarding and offboarding payroll related processes and ML.
- Preparing the monthly payroll journal entries.
- Ensuring income tax, social security, pension funds and labor law compliance and reporting.
- Carries out other Payroll tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of proven experience as payroll specialist in a global tech company.
- High level of English (verbal and written).
- Experience in Hilan payroll system - advantage.
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite) - advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Accuracy with data entry and self-auditing skills.
- Highly organized, responsible, consistent, accurate with attention to details to produce work with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently within the team.
- Responsible, willing to work as part of a team and to provide services to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Use knowledge of local laws to comply with reporting requirements.
