Role Overview
We are seeking a Finance Manager to lead and oversee our financial planning, reporting, and compliance processes. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing organizational finances, implementing effective tools and systems, and ensuring financial health and compliance in a mission-driven, non-profit environment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Financial Planning & Budgeting:

    • Develop and manage organizational budgets.
    • Forecast payroll costs and compare forecasts with actuals to minimize discrepancies progressively.
  2. Reporting:

    • Prepare quarterly financial health reports, including forecast vs. actual analyses.
    • Manage financial compliance and reporting to donors and funders.
  3. Process Management:

    • Create, implement, and refine processes for all financial functions, including accounts receivable/payable and financial planning.
  4. Systems Management:

    • Oversee and enhance financial tools, including Odoo and Google Sheets.
    • Lead any necessary system upgrades or developments.
  5. Team Leadership:

    • Supervise financial and accounting tasks assigned to operational support specialists.
  6. Compliance & Audit:

    • Lead and manage periodic audits (starting in 2025) and ensure full compliance with donor and regulatory requirements.
  7. Strategic Input:

    • Provide insights on forecasting and resource allocation during strategic planning discussions.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in financial management, ideally in the non-profit sector.
  • Strong skills in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in using and implementing financial tools, especially Odoo and Google Sheets.
  • Experience in audit management and donor reporting.
  • Ability to develop and optimize financial processes.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and team leadership.
