Accountant – Real Estate & Finance

Job Summary:

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accountant to join a dynamic team within the real estate and finance sector. This role is based in Dubai’s DIFC and will suit someone with 3-5 years of professional accounting experience, including at least 1 year gained in the UAE, ideally within real estate or financial services. The successful candidate will support sophisticated transactions and contribute to the continued growth of the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting Operations & Reporting

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with UAE regulations.

• Ensure accurate and timely submission of VAT returns and adherence to UAE tax laws.

Financial Control & Analysis

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management processes.

• Monitor and reconcile intercompany transactions across multiple entities.

• Maintain robust accounting controls and help implement financial policies to protect company assets.

• Provide financial analysis and insights to aid decision-making, particularly relating to real estate transactions and structuring.

Audit & Compliance

• Assist with internal and external audits, liaising with auditors and regulatory bodies.

• Ensure compliance with UAE accounting standards, tax rules, and reporting practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline; a professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA) is preferred.

• 3-5 years of professional accounting experience, with at least 1 year in the UAE, ideally within real estate, financial services, or a related sector.

• Solid understanding of UAE accounting standards, VAT laws, and financial reporting.

• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or ERP systems).

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.

• Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.

• Fluent in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with real estate developers, property managers, or financial institutions in Dubai.

• Familiarity with IFRS and Free Zone accounting frameworks.

• Understanding of AML/KYC compliance in financial operations.

• Interest in PropTech or blockchain-based asset management.

• Mandarin or Cantonese language skills are a plus.
