Excellence Manager (Product Development)
Your challenge
As a product development excellence manager, you are responsible for the business processes that drive our product development teams to excel in efficiency and productivity. These business processes do not only apply to how our development teams are organized and collaborate, but also apply to OMP’s HR processes that support the development and growth of our team members. You orchestrate, design, and improve our business processes while keeping efficiency, time-to-market, and a people-oriented approach in mind.
You are responsible for:
- Fostering an environment that inspires and drives product development processes, ensuring that all team members feel happy, appreciated, challenged, and empowered.
- Collaborating closely with leadership within the product development organization to enhance and streamline business processes, providing support to ensure effective implementation and operation.
- Ensuring that all business processes are designed to enhance and support the agile methodologies embraced by our product development teams, promoting efficiency and flexibility in their daily operations.
- Managing processes that connect teams within and beyond the Product Development team.
- Implementing the right change management approach to get new processes adopted.
Your team
As a Product Development Excellence Manager, you’ll join the Product Excellence team. Product Excellence consists of a couple of highly motivated colleagues that share the same interest about designing, installing and managing our key business processes to ensure an improved and streamlined way of working in our Product Development organization. Product Development consists of specialized teams that focus on a specific domain such as demand and supply planning, user experience, data science, integration, solvers, and more. These teams drive our product road map, share OMP’s vision and expertise, and create smart, robust, and scalable software solutions that solve our customers’ complex supply chain planning challenges.
Your profile
We are looking for someone who meets the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar. Experience can substitute for a degree.
- At least 5 years of experience in managing and coaching a cross-functional agile product development team.
- 360° communication skills that enable you to connect easily with team members, senior managers, and other stakeholders.
- Experience with change management projects.
- The ability to lead by example.
- Open to occasional travel.
- Comfortable when working under pressure to meet fixed deadlines.
Bonus points if you have:
- Experience in working in virtual teams scattered over multiple international locations.
- Knowledge of the ins and outs of project management.
