Product Owner AI

Your challenge

As Product Owner AI, you define our clear, global, cross-industry product vision on how to leverage AI in our product, with a strong focus on generative AI. You do this in line with OMP’s global roadmap and in close collaboration with other product owners and our software architects. You capture market needs, formulate value propositions, and translate these insights into AI related product requirements. You work closely with your squad and set priorities, provide guidance, validate developments, and ensure fluent stakeholder communication.

You are responsible for:

• Developing deep expertise in our product offering across our key industries and core product functions: network design, demand management, S&OP, operational planning, scheduling, cloud, data management and integration, and value enhancers.
• Creating a product vision on how to leverage generative AI in our product. This is based on input from customers and AI and supply chain planning market trends and evolutions.
• Aligning the overall product vision in close collaboration with fellow product owners and architects.
• Working with stakeholders to understand business goals and translate them into generative AI product requirements.
• Framing and explaining the ‘why’ and ‘why now’ of new developments to fuel company-wide understanding, enthusiasm, and support.
• Developing a strategic roadmap and steering release plans.
• Engaging in AI and machine learning related R&D activities, e.g., combining the latest machine learning advances with OMP's world-class Operations Research solvers.
• Working closely with your squad, setting development and support priorities and ensuring fluent stakeholder communication.
• Supporting your squad to assemble functional requirements and transform them into solid designs. This includes validating functional and technical analyses, development, documentation and other collateral such as demos.
• Providing expert support during sales tracks and for customer projects in your domain of expertise.
• Fostering connections to academia and third-party providers, and following up on our competitors’ offerings and strategies.

Your team

As Product Owner AI, you’ll join our Product Development organization. Product Development consists of specialized teams that focus on a specific domain such as demand and supply planning, user experience, data science, integration, solvers, and more. These teams drive our product roadmap, share OMP’s vision and expertise and create smart, robust, and scalable software solutions that solve our customers’ complex supply chain planning challenges.

Your profile

We are looking for someone who meets the following qualifications:

 

• A Master’s or PhD degree in Engineering, AI, Mathematics, Computer Science, or similar. Experience can substitute for a degree.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in product management for software development, preferably in a data science related area.
• Strong expertise in AI, machine learning, and data science.
• Solid understanding of the latest generative AI trends and evolutions.
• Programming skills, for example in Python.
• A passion to improve software solutions and deliver tangible added value.
• Proficient in Agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• A desire to take ownership and deliver results.

 

Bonus points if you have:

• Solid knowledge of supply chain concepts and planning solutions or solution subdomains.
• Prior experience in one of our core industries.
• Relevant experience in cloud-native technologies, streaming frameworks, service-oriented architecture, and API development.
• But most of all, you are fun to work with and a great team player!
