Payroll Services Manager
Your challenge
As a Payroll Services Manager EU, you organize and steer all payroll and employee service processes and projects for Belgium (our HQ), as well as France, Germany, the Netherlands, and the UK.
In collaboration with our Payroll Manager for the other OMP affiliates (BR, CN, ES, IN, and US), you apply your industry knowledge to support our global Payroll/Employee Services team. This involves working with both internal customers and external stakeholders to ensure everything is accurate and correct.
You are responsible for:
- Managing the operations of all payroll and employee administrative processes for all Belgian and international staff located in France, Germany, the Netherlands, and the UK (+/- 820 people).
- Monitoring compliance with local laws and regulations (taking into account sectoral agreements) and internal OMP policies and procedures. This involves working very closely with the Compensation & Benefits and Immigration team.
- Supporting and coaching the Payroll/Employee Services team in the performance of their tasks and responsibilities, while ensuring the motivation, commitment, and development of each team member.
- Ensuring good cooperation, both with internal customers (employees, leads, finance and accounting, HR managers, business managers, etc.) and external partners and support services (social secretariat, government, insurance companies, etc.).
- Leading payroll projects, including optimizing and implementing payroll and HR processes and systems.
- Being the back-up and close collaborator of the Payroll Services Manager who is responsible for the payroll and employee services in the other OMP affiliates (+/- 380 people). A close and smooth cooperation between the two managers is crucial to achieve our predefined goals and obtain successes.
Your team
As our Payroll Services Manager EU, you’ll be part of the Human Resources team. Human Resources attracts, supports, and grows talent at OMP. On top of that, our team develops attractive benefits packages and international mobility programs in the interest of our employees.
Together with your colleague-Payroll Services Manager, you will steer the Payroll/Employee Services team (6-8 people). You will also work closely together with the other sub teams within HR (C&B, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management and Analytics), as well as the Fleet and Finance teams.
Your profile
We are looking for someone who meets the following qualifications:
- A master's or bachelor's degree, with at least 3 years of experience in steering a team.
- Significant experience in Belgian payroll (5+ years), preferably combined with experience with at least one of the other countries (FR, DE, NL, UK).
- Critical and detail-oriented mindset.
- Strong analytical skills.
- The ability to analyze processes, with a solution-oriented approach.
- Enthusiasm for working in an international and multicultural environment.
- A genuinely people-oriented mindset.
- The ability to lead a team combined with a hands-on approach.
- A great communicator and collaborative mindset.
- Extensive experience in working with MS Office (especially Excel) and payroll systems, preferably eBlox Payroll and eBlox HR.
- Fluency in Dutch and English.
