Financial Controller
Your challenge
As a Financial Controller, your main role is to derive business insights from the financial numbers of the global OMP group. You report directly to the Global Finance Manager.
You are responsible for:
- Creating reports in LucaNet and MS Excel, for instance actual versus budget comparisons.
- Providing reports to management and budget owners quarterly, including analytical reviews on variances.
- Ensuring master data quality and making improvements where needed.
- Leading forecasting and budget exercises (P&L and balance sheet), collecting data from budget owners, and presenting it to management for discussion (scenarios).
- Finetuning cash flow forecasts.
- Taking responsibility for projects like transfer pricing (focused on data management, not tax expertise).
- Establishing an ESG reporting workflow and engaging with internal stakeholders.
- Proposing an analytical cost pricing model to distribute costs across OMP’s cost centers and entities.
- Conducting various ad hoc analyses, such as travel, fleet and mobility expenses.
- Understanding the business to develop relevant KPIs, working closely with different departments. Composing and updating KPI reports regularly.
Your team
As our new Financial Controller, you’ll be part of the Finance & Accounting team. Finance & Accounting ensures correct and transparent financial reporting and provides fiscal and financial support. On top of this, our team makes sure legislation is respected in everything we undertake.
Your profile
We are looking for someone who meets the following qualifications:
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- +3 years of experience in analytical accounting within a multinational or large Belgian company.
- An interest in working in a fast-growing, international environment.
- Eager to understand how business activities impact financial data.
- Strong MS Excel skills and a keen interest in reporting structure.
- A drive to create reports in Excel and LucaNet (our reporting & consolidation software).
- An interest in ESG and setting up group-wide reporting.
- Results-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality work consistently.
- The ability to work independently and organize tasks effectively, with accountability for meeting deadlines.
- The desire to collaborate with Finance colleagues and team leads from various departments.
- Fluent Dutch and proficient English for our international setting.
