Estate Planning Regional Manager

London

We’re Octopus Legacy: one of the fastest growing tech companies in the country, part of the UK’s most exciting and best-trusted group (you may have heard of some of our sister companies…) and we have a mission.

We’re on a path to scale, aiming to become a household name while transforming a long-established industry and helping our customers prepare for, and find support after, death.

But we can’t do it alone, and that’s why we’re assembling a team of top performers to build with us.

Ready to be part of something big?

The Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Team Manager to lead and support a group of 8–10 Estate Planning Consultants. This role is pivotal in ensuring that consultants deliver outstanding client experiences, achieve commercial targets, and maintain high standards of accuracy and compliance in their work. You will be responsible for managing performance across key metrics, driving team development, and ensuring that clients consistently receive a compassionate, professional, and seamless service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of Estate Planning Consultants, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality client consultations.
  • Monitor and drive performance across key KPIs, including:
    • Average Order Value (AOV): Ensure consultants are maximising value through effective guidance and service offerings.
    • Team Administration: Maintain accurate records, timely reporting, and compliance with all internal processes and external regulations.
    • Customer Experience Metrics: Ensure consistently high client satisfaction scores, with a focus on empathy, clarity, and professionalism.
  • Provide regular 1:1 coaching, feedback, and development to consultants to improve performance and skills.
  • Support consultants with complex cases or escalations, ensuring that clients’ needs are fully met.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align team performance with business objectives and strategy.
  • Ensure adherence to all legal, compliance, and safeguarding standards across the team’s work.
  • Drive a positive team culture, fostering collaboration, resilience, and accountability.

Who Are You?

  • Experienced people manager with a track record of leading a sales, advisory, or client-facing team.
  • Commercially aware, with the ability to manage revenue-related KPIs such as AOV.
  • Strong understanding of estate planning, wills, trusts, and LPAs (STEP qualification preferred but not required).
  • Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail in reporting and administration.
  • Passionate about delivering an exceptional customer experience and coaching others to do the same.
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to inspire, influence, and support a diverse team.
  • Comfortable balancing operational oversight with hands-on coaching and development.
  • Resilient and adaptable, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

KPIs for Success:

  • Team Average Order Value consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Administrative accuracy and compliance with near-zero errors.
  • Customer satisfaction maintained at 90%+ positive feedback rating.
  • Demonstrated improvement in consultant performance and capability through coaching.
  • Retention and engagement of team members, fostering a high-performance culture.

Our Mission

When people think about planning for death they think about wills, life insurance and funerals. We take these cold processes and turn them into something more human. Share more than money: leave voice notes, music, recipes. Shape a legacy that connects you while you're here. And after you're gone.

Founded by Sam after his mum died suddenly, we’re a group of people who work in death because we’ve been affected by it. We know the difference a good plan makes, and what it’s like when there isn’t one.

Death can come between us, leave mess, legal fees, frustration. But it can also make us stronger. We see a world where people talk openly about death, and work out the real meaning of legacy, one that connects to them. We’re here to make that world happen.

Benefits:

  • Octopus share incentive scheme.
  • Flexible holiday + extra day off for your Birthday.
  • Vitality Health & Life Insurance.
  • Pension scheme.
  • Enhanced parental leave.
  • Free Will & LPAs + discounts on other Octopus services.
  • Cycle to Work Scheme and access to the Electric Vehicle (EV) Salary Sacrifice Scheme.
  • Octopus Giving: we match any charitable fundraising that you do up to £500.
  • Octopus Springboard: where we help our employees become fully-fledged entrepreneurs.

We know that to be truly innovative, we need to have a diverse team around us. That is why Octopus Legacy is committed to creating an inclusive environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
