About the role
At Nuvolar, we are looking for a QA Automation Engineer /SDET to join one of our healthcare projects, helping teams build scalable and reliable quality solutions for digital products used in complex healthcare environments.
You will become part of an engineering environment focused on improving how software is tested by designing automation frameworks, reusable testing tools, and technical solutions that support QA engineers and development teams.
This role is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys combining software engineering and quality practices: building automation solutions, improving testing processes, working with modern technologies, and helping teams adopt more efficient ways of delivering reliable software.
You will work closely with QA engineers, developers, and technical stakeholders to design, implement, and evolve automation capabilities across different products and workflows, including the adoption of AI-assisted testing approaches.
🧠 What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, maintain, and evolve test automation frameworks, libraries, and reusable testing solutions.
- Build automation capabilities for backend/API testing, frontend testing, end-to-end workflows, integration testing, and regression testing.
- Create scalable and maintainable automation solutions using technologies such as Playwright, TypeScript, Cypress, Selenium, or similar frameworks.
- Develop reusable components and tools that help QA engineers and development teams improve testing efficiency.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and development workflows.
- Collaborate with QA engineers to understand testing challenges and translate their needs into technical solutions.
- Apply software engineering best practices to automation projects, including clean code, documentation, maintainability, and reliability.
- Use AI-assisted tools to improve automation development, test generation, debugging, documentation, and productivity.
- Contribute to the evolution towards more modern, scalable, and AI-augmented quality engineering practices.
✅ What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience in test automation, software development, or engineering roles focused on quality tooling.
- Strong programming skills in at least one relevant language such as TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, Python, or similar.
- Experience designing, building, or maintaining automated test frameworks or reusable testing solutions.
- Solid understanding of backend/API testing, frontend testing, integration testing, and regression testing approaches.
- Experience working with automation frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or equivalent technologies.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-structured code.
- Understanding of CI/CD concepts and experience integrating automated tests into development pipelines.
- Experience working with GitHub and CI/CD workflows, ideally GitHub Actions.
- AI literacy, including familiarity with AI-assisted tools, AI agents, or practical use of AI to improve automation, debugging, documentation, or development workflows.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with QA engineers and developers, understanding technical needs and proposing practical solutions.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Professional level of English, both written and spoken.
⭐️ Nice to have
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright and TypeScript.
- Experience building internal frameworks, testing libraries, SDKs, CLI tools, or developer tooling.
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, REST Assured, or similar.
- Experience with Docker or containerized testing environments.
- Experience working with cloud-based products and environments.
