🧠 What You’ll Do

This role is part of a long-term strategic initiative within a global healthcare environment focused on the evolution and unification of enterprise data platforms. The objective is to consolidate multiple existing data platforms into a single, scalable ecosystem that serves as a backbone for multiple products and teams across the organisation.

As a Senior Java Developer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and evolving backend services that support data exchange and platform integration across multiple teams. You will work in a high-autonomy environment where you are expected to independently drive technical solutions while collaborating with multiple stakeholders across engineering, data, and product teams.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Design, develop and maintain backend services and components using Java
  • Contribute to the evolution and unification of enterprise data platform ecosystems
  • Support the migration and transition of existing components into the target platform
  • Analyse existing applications, integrations, dependencies and data flows
  • Collaborate with multiple technical teams across a large organisational structureWrite clean, maintainable and well-tested code
  • Participate in technical refinement, estimation and solution design discussion
  • Troubleshoot, debug and resolve backend issues in distributed systems
  • Create and maintain clear technical documentation
  • Communicate progress, risks and blockers proactively

✅ What We’re Looking For

  • Solid professional experience in Java backend development
  • Strong experience building and maintaining backend services and APIs
  • Good understanding of object-oriented programming, clean code, and software design principles
  • Experience with Spring / Spring Boot or similar Java backend frameworks
  • Experience working with relational databases and SQLExperience with Git and standard development workflows
  • Ability to work autonomously and drive complex technical tasks independently
  • Comfortable working in large, complex organisations with multiple teams and dependencies
  • Professional working proficiency in English

Nice to have:

  • Experience with data platforms, data integration or data-heavy environments
  • Experience with microservices architectures
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP)
