Senior Engineer, Collab Platforms

Nscale enables AI-focused companies to achieve superior results by reducing the complexity of AI development. Our GPU cloud bolsters technical capabilities and directly supports strategic business outcomes, including cost management, rapid innovation, and environmental responsibility.
We thrive on a culture of relentless innovation, ownership, and accountability, where every team member takes pride in their work and drives it with excellence and urgency. As an Nscaler, you’ll build trust through openness and transparency, where everyone is inspired to do their best work. If you join our team, you’ll be contributing to building the technology that powers the future.
About the Role
We’re hiring a Senior Engineer to own, secure and automate the collaboration and SaaS platforms Nscale runs on as the company scales globally. You’ll join our Collaboration Platforms team and work closely with colleagues across time zones.
We’re a Google-first company. Google Workspace is our core productivity platform, alongside Slack, Zoom, Notion, Atlassian, enterprise AI platforms and a growing SaaS portfolio.
This is a build-and-maintain engineering role, not a ticket-taking one. You’ll configure, secure and improve these platforms as production systems, build the automations and integrations that keep them running at scale, and make sound calls on access, sharing and risk.
What You’ll Be Doing
Platform ownership
- Administer, secure and improve Google Workspace, Slack Enterprise Grid, Zoom and SaaS apps such as Notion.
- Own configuration, groups, admin roles, sharing policy and app access across the estate.
- Lead platform changes end to end, including testing, rollout, communications and rollback.
- Set the standards, patterns and documentation others on the team follow, and act as the go-to owner for the platforms you run.
Security and governance
- Apply least privilege, SSO and 2SV enforcement, external sharing controls and data retention across our platforms.
- Review third-party and AI app requests for scopes, data access and risk, working with Information Security.
- Own the response to data exposure and access incidents on our platforms, working with Information Security.
- Support access reviews and audit evidence for compliance requirements such as SOC 2.
Integrations and automation
- Build and maintain automations and integrations using platform APIs, webhooks and scripts (e.g. Python or Google Apps Script).
- Manage SSO and SCIM connections between Okta and our platforms.
- Own service accounts, API tokens and credentials for the integrations you build, including scoping, secure storage, rotation and documentation.
AI platforms
- Administer enterprise AI platforms, including access, licensing, usage and spend, and data and connector settings.
- Help colleagues adopt AI tools safely through practical guidance, examples and reusable patterns.
Service and adoption
- Configure Jira and Jira Service Management workflows, request types and automation for the team.
- Write documentation, runbooks and guides that help colleagues get the most from our tools.
- Work with the service desk and external providers to keep support consistent.
About You
- 5+ years in collaboration platform engineering, SaaS administration or workplace technology, with hands-on ownership of the platforms you ran.
- Hands-on Google Workspace administration: OUs, groups, sharing settings, security settings, audit logs and reporting.
- Slack Enterprise Grid and Zoom administration, including governance, roles and app controls.
- Scripts and integrations you’ve written and maintain against REST APIs (e.g. Google, Slack or Okta), used in production by your team.
- Working knowledge of SSO, SCIM and group-based access with an identity provider such as Okta.
- Sound security judgment on sharing, access and third-party apps.
- Working knowledge of Jira administration, or the ability to pick it up quickly.
- You use AI tools daily and can explain how they improve your output.
- Clear written communication, from runbooks to stakeholder updates.
Highly Desirable
- Administration of enterprise AI platforms such as Gemini, ChatGPT Enterprise, Claude or Copilot, including usage and spend.
- Notion or Atlassian Cloud administration.
- Okta Workflows or iPaaS tools such as Workato, Zapier or Make.
- Exposure to SOC 2 or ISO 27001.
- Experience in a high-growth company.
