Senior Supply Chain and Logistics Manager
About the Role
We're hiring a Senior Global Logistics Manager to own and elevate the end-to-end logistics function powering Nscale's global AI infrastructure supply chain.
This role sits within Supply Chain Operations and reports to the Senior Director of Supply Chain Operations. You'll serve as the logistics authority for one of the most complex and consequential hardware movements in the industry — ensuring GPUs, servers, and critical AI infrastructure reach the right datacenter, in the right region, at the right time. You'll lead global freight strategy, customs and cross-border operations, last-mile datacenter delivery, and 3PL partnerships, while working closely with datacenter operations, Finance, hardware vendors, and logistics providers worldwide.
As AI compute demand scales at an unprecedented pace, the logistics function is mission-critical. This is a rare opportunity for a logistics expert to shape how a fast-scaling AI infrastructure business physically moves and deploys hardware across the globe — with direct impact on uptime, capital efficiency, and customer commitments.
What You Will Do
You'll step into a high-visibility logistics function and quickly establish yourself as the operational authority on how Nscale moves hardware globally. That means owning freight mode strategy, carrier relationships, cross-border compliance, and final-mile datacenter delivery across every region we operate in — while building the lead time models, risk frameworks, and warehousing policies that turn complex logistics into reliable, repeatable execution. Day to day, you'll be the person resolving bottlenecks, holding providers accountable, and ensuring every datacenter launch lands on time.
From there, you'll build the ownership layer — the dashboards, risk models, and cross-functional partnerships that give leadership clear visibility into logistics performance and cost. You'll work closely with Finance to integrate freight costs and lead times into capital planning, develop scenario analyses when constraints shift, and own the warehousing footprint and inventory positioning strategy that keeps hardware optimally placed across the network.
Over time, your impact will extend well beyond execution. As Nscale scales into new regions and accelerates its infrastructure build-out, you'll be the architect of a logistics function capable of supporting that growth — one where freight decisions are made proactively, deployment risk is modeled before it materializes, and logistics performance is a genuine competitive advantage for the business.
Who You Are
- A logistics expert first. You have 8–15+ years of experience in global logistics, freight operations, or supply chain execution — with deep hands-on expertise in international freight, customs, 3PL management, and cross-border operations.
- Experienced in high-stakes hardware logistics. You've moved complex, high-value physical infrastructure — ideally in datacenter, cloud, hyperscale, or semiconductor environments. Direct experience with GPU or AI hardware supply chains is a strong advantage.
- A systems thinker with operational depth. You understand how freight decisions ripple into deployment timelines, capital exposure, and business commitments — and you build logistics models that reflect that complexity.
- Analytically rigorous. You're comfortable in SQL and Excel, have worked with large operational datasets, and can translate logistics performance data into executive-ready insights and recommendations.
- A strong operator and partner. You hold logistics providers to high standards while building collaborative, high-trust relationships. You're equally effective driving accountability and alignment across internal stakeholders — Finance, datacenter ops, procurement, and leadership.
- Familiar with the tools of the trade. You have experience with supply chain planning systems (SAP IBP, Anaplan, NetSuite, or similar) and BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI), and you know how to use visibility platforms to track global hardware in motion.
- Comfortable with ambiguity at scale. You thrive in fast-moving environments where the logistics infrastructure is still being built — and you see that as an opportunity, not a liability.
