Nscale enables AI-focused companies to achieve superior results by reducing the complexity of AI development. Our GPU cloud bolsters technical capabilities and directly supports strategic business outcomes, including cost management, rapid innovation, and environmental responsibility.
We thrive on a culture of innovation, ownership, and accountability, where every team member takes pride in their work and drives it with excellence and urgency. As an Nscaler, you'll build trust through openness and transparency, where everyone is inspired to do their best work. If you join our team, you'll be contributing to building the technology that powers the future.
About the Role
We are looking for a Director, Process Optimization to build and lead the process design, standardisation, and continuous improvement function across Nscale's Business Operations organisation.
This role will set the operating standard for how Nscale designs, documents, measures, and improves critical internal and external processes. You will build the frameworks that help site operations, construction, procurement, legal, recruitment, supply chain, manufacturing, and commissioning teams work together with greater clarity, speed, and accountability.
You will be responsible for turning complex, fast-moving operational workflows into scalable playbooks, clear ownership models, measurable KPIs, and repeatable processes that support Nscale's growth across new sites and geographies.
What You'll be Doing
- Design, implement, and govern SOPs for site operations, service operations, construction-to-operations handoffs, safety compliance, and cross-functional business operations workflows.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives that reduce operational friction, rework, delivery delays, and process ambiguity across active sites and programmes.
- Conduct operational audits across live programmes, identify process gaps, and work with accountable teams to drive practical remediation.
- Build standardised operational playbooks that can be replicated across new geographies, sites, and partner environments.
- Own the operational interface between Power Mod manufacturing and datacenter site operations, ensuring production schedules, inventory readiness, and commissioning timelines are aligned.
- Integrate quality control metrics from the manufacturing floor into business reporting, creating clearer visibility into risks, trends, and operational performance.
- Design and implement engagement frameworks for how Business Operations works with Legal, Procurement, Recruitment, Supply Chain, and other partner functions.
- Establish clear intake, execution, tracking, closure, and SLA processes for cross-functional requests and projects.
- Design and maintain an internal KPI framework that measures adjacent team responsiveness, SLA adherence, and process performance across key operational workflows.
- Partner with Strategic Project Management and other operational leaders to strengthen internal coordination and ensure process standards are adopted consistently.
- Manage and develop a Senior Process Manager, setting clear priorities, expectations, and operating rhythms for the process optimisation function.
About You
- You have 10+ years of experience in process excellence, operations management, business operations, operational transformation, or continuous improvement.
- You have built SOPs, operational playbooks, governance models, or process frameworks in complex, multi-site environments.
- You bring experience from infrastructure, construction, datacenter, manufacturing, critical facilities, cloud infrastructure, industrial operations, or similarly complex operational environments.
- You understand Lean and continuous improvement principles, and you know how to apply them pragmatically to deliver measurable business outcomes.
- You are confident operating across technical and non-technical teams, translating ambiguity into clear workflows, ownership, and execution plans.
- You have experience designing cross-functional operating models involving teams such as Legal, Procurement, Recruitment, Supply Chain, Operations, Construction, or Manufacturing.
- You are comfortable using operational tooling such as Jira, ServiceNow, or equivalent workflow and reporting platforms.
- You can balance strategic process design with hands-on execution, especially in a high-growth environment where systems and teams are scaling quickly.
- You are a strong people leader who can coach, prioritise, and develop process talent while also influencing senior stakeholders across the business.
Nice to Have
- Experience in datacenter delivery, commissioning, modular infrastructure, critical infrastructure, or large-scale capital programmes.
- Experience building KPI dashboards, SLA reporting, business performance reporting, or operational scorecards.
- Exposure to manufacturing-to-site handoffs, quality control reporting, inventory readiness, or field operations coordination.
- Lean Six Sigma, PMP, Prince2, Agile, or similar certifications, where supported by practical delivery experience.
