Head, DC Build – APAC

The Head, DC Build - APAC will be accountable for the strategy, scaling, and execution of Nscale’s data centre construction platform across the APAC region. This role owns the transformation of a multi-country development pipeline into operational, revenue-generating infrastructure, at speed, at scale, and with institutional-grade reliability.

This is a top-tier leadership role with direct impact on capital deployment, time-to-market, and long-term asset performance. The Head will define how Nscale builds—not just what it builds—establishing delivery as a core strategic advantage across diverse regulatory, supply chain, and market environments.

What You'll Be Doing

Regional Delivery Strategy & Platform Design

  • Define and implement Nscale’s APAC-wide construction delivery model (org structure, governance, standards, and processes)
  • Establish scalable frameworks for multi-country execution, balancing central control with local agility
  • Standardize design, procurement, and delivery methodologies to accelerate deployment without compromising quality

Programme Leadership (Multi-Country, Multi-Site)

  • Own delivery of a portfolio of concurrent hyperscale and edge data centre builds across APAC
  • Drive schedule certainty and capital efficiency across all projects
  • Implement programme-level controls, reporting, and performance management systems

Capital Deployment & Commercial Leadership

  • Oversee multi-millons CapEx budgets and capital allocation across markets
  • Shape procurement strategy at a regional level (framework agreements, strategic suppliers, long-term partnerships)
  • Lead complex contract negotiations, risk allocation, and dispute resolution at scale

Supply Chain & Partner Ecosystem

  • Build and manage a resilient, contractor and supplier ecosystem across APAC
  • Anticipate and mitigate supply chain constraints (power equipment, cooling systems, labour)
  • Drive strategic partnerships to secure capacity and pricing advantages

Technical & Design Integration

  • Partner with Engineering and product teams to ensure designs are optimised for scalability, speed, and operational performance
  • Champion standardization of core components and modular build strategies where appropriate
  • Ensure delivery capability keeps pace with evolving technical requirements (e.g., high-density compute, liquid cooling)

Leadership & Organisational Scale

  • Build and lead a senior regional leadership team across key markets in APAC
  • Define hiring, capability development, and succession planning strategies
  • Instil a culture of accountability, execution excellence, and continuous improvement

Stakeholder & Executive Alignment

  • Act as the senior delivery interface with executive leadership, investors, and board-level stakeholders
  • Align construction priorities with commercial pipeline, financing structures, and customer commitments
  • Represent Nscale externally in strategic partnerships and high-level negotiations

Risk, Compliance & Governance

  • Establish robust risk management frameworks across all projects in APAC
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, permitting requirements, and safety standards
  • Drive best-in-class health & safety culture across all sites

Commissioning, Quality & Operational Readiness

  • Define commissioning standards and ensure consistent execution across all builds
  • Guarantee seamless handover to operations with minimal performance risk
  • Embed quality assurance as a core pillar of delivery

About You

  • Bachelor in Engineering or Information Technology or equivalent
  • At least 15-20 years of experience in large-scale infrastructure, mission-critical or in Data Centre construction
  • Proven leadership of multi-country, multi-billion-euro capital programmes
  • Experience building and scaling delivery platforms, not just delivering individual projects
  • Strong track record in APAC markets, with an understanding of regulatory, labour, and supply chain dynamics
  • Deep technical familiarity with data centre infrastructure (power, cooling, redundancy, commissioning)
  • Extensive commercial experience, including structuring and negotiating large-scale contracts and supplier frameworks
