About the Role

We’re hiring an People Operations Manager to lead and optimize People operations across North America, driving consistency, efficiency, and a strong employee experience across the region.

This role serves as the primary HR operations partner for the NA market and works across the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding through off-boarding. You’ll collaborate closely with Payroll, as well as key partners across Finance, Legal, IT, and business leadership, while also working cross-regionally with EMEA and APAC teams to support shared processes, handoffs, and service delivery.

This is a high-impact role for someone who can balance regional complexity with global alignment. Your work will help standardize operations where appropriate, protect NA-specific legal and cultural requirements, and strengthen the systems, workflows, and partnerships that support a growing distributed workforce.

What you'll be doing

Employee Lifecycle Operations

  • Own the end-to-end employee lifecycle across North America, including onboarding, benefits administration, and offboarding
  • Serve as the primary HR operations partner for the NA market across core People processes
  • Support an exceptional employee experience through consistent and efficient operational delivery

Compliance and Regional Governance

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and provincial employment laws across NA jurisdictions
  • Preserve NA-specific legal and cultural requirements while identifying opportunities for standardization
  • Resolve issues that arise at the intersection of regional and global operations

Process, Systems, and Service Delivery

  • Manage and continuously improve HR processes, workflows, and systems for a growing distributed workforce
  • Participate in HR systems implementations and other cross-regional HR projects
  • Establish and manage handoff protocols and SLAs between NA, EMEA, and APAC teams
  • Operate effectively within a shared services model and help build structure in evolving environments

Stakeholder Partnership and Escalations

  • Act as the primary escalation point for HR operations queries from NA employees and managers
  • Partner with Payroll to ensure accurate and timely processing for all NA employees
  • Build strong relationships with business leaders and cross-functional partners across Finance, Legal, and IT in the NA region
  • Collaborate across time zones and regional teams to maintain alignment and operational continuity

KPIs

  • End-to-end employee lifecycle execution across North America
  • Compliance with US and Canadian employment requirements
  • Payroll accuracy and timeliness for NA employees
  • HR process and workflow standardization across regions

About You

  • 6–8 years of progressive HR operations experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in US and Canadian employment law and HR compliance
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms such as Workday
  • Experience working with or within a shared services model
  • Prior exposure to cross-regional collaboration, particularly with EMEA teams
  • Strong ability to manage the full employee lifecycle across onboarding, benefits administration, and offboarding
  • Process-oriented and data-driven, with the ability to build structure in ambiguous environments
  • Skilled at managing across time zones and cultural differences
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Pragmatic, solutions-focused mindset with a bias for action

Salary Range

The range below reflects the base salary for the position. Actual compensation may vary based on job-related factors such as skill set, experience, education, and location. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for bonus, equity, and/or commission programs.
