About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Senior Manager to lead month-end close and reconciliation processes across Nscale's rapidly scaling finance operations. This is a high-impact, hands-on role where you'll own the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of our financial close cycle while building scalable processes that support our growth trajectory. You will work closely with the Finance leadership team, cross-functional stakeholders (Operations, Commercial, Infrastructure), and external auditors to ensure our financial records are reliable, compliant, and audit-ready. This role is ideal for someone who combines accounting expertise with Sub-Ledger processes as well as process improvement mindset and thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
What You’ll be Doing
Month-End Close & Financial Reporting
- Own and execute the complete month-end close process, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Prepare and review general ledger reconciliations, accruals, and adjusting entries across all balance sheet accounts.
- Manage the close calendar, coordinate with stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement in close timelines and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS standards and internal accounting policies throughout the close process.
- Support quarterly and annual financial reporting
Reconciliations Account Management
- Lead reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts (cash, receivables, payables, accruedexpenses, fixed assets, etc.) to supporting documentation and subsidiary ledgers.
- Investigate and resolve reconciling items, variances, and discrepancies with a bias toward root- cause analysis and prevention.
- Maintain detailed reconciliation schedules and audit trails, ensuring full auditability and documentation for internal and external reviews.
- Oversee bank reconciliations, intercompany account settlements, and balance sheet account integrity.
- Develop and maintain reconciliation procedures and controls to ensure ongoing accuracy and compliance.
Process Improvement & Automation
- Identify opportunities to streamline, automate, and scale close and reconciliation processes asthe company grows.
- Evaluate and implement accounting tools, systems, and workflows that enhance efficiency, reduce manual effort, and improve data quality.
- Build repeatable, documented processes that enable team scaling and knowledge transfer.
- Collaborate with Finance Systems and IT teams on system enhancements and data integration improvements.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team supporting month-end close and reconciliations.
- Provide clear guidance on accounting treatments, close procedures, and reconciliation standards.
- Foster a culture of accuracy, ownership, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Support training and development of team members to build capability and career progression
Audit & Compliance
- Partner with external auditors during audit cycles, preparing schedules, supporting documentation, and responding to audit inquiries.
- Maintain audit readiness through strong internal controls, documentation, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Support SOX compliance initiatives (if applicable) and internal control assessments.
- Ensure adherence to company accounting policies and external reporting requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Operations, Commercial, and Infrastructure teams to understand business transactions and ensure accurate accounting treatment.
- Partner with the broader Finance team on budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis initiatives.
- Communicate financial close status and key metrics to Finance leadership and stakeholders.
About You
Experience Expertise
- 7+ years of accounting experience, with substantial hands-on involvement in month-end closevand reconciliation processes.
- Proven experience managing accounting teams or leading close processes in a high-growth,vscaling environment (tech, SaaS, or infrastructure preferred).
- Deep knowledge of GAAP/IFRS accounting standards, balance sheet management, andvfinancial reporting.
- Strong understanding of internal controls, audit processes, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Workday) and accounting automationvtools.
Technical & Analytical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel for financial analysis, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings clearly to both technicaland non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with data analysis and process improvement methodologies.

- Experience in infrastructure, cloud, or hardware-intensive businesses.
- Familiarity with usage-based billing, revenue recognition (ASC 606), or complex cost allocation.
- Experience with multi-entity consolidations or intercompany accounting.
- Knowledge of financial planning & analysis (FP&A) or budgeting processes.
- CPA or equivalent accounting certification or experience
