Director of Global Events
Location: London, UK Team: Product Marketing Reports to: SVP, Growth & Product Marketing
At Nscale, we’re on a mission to power the future of AI cloud computing, and our global events programme is a critical platform for how we show up, tell our story, and build meaningful relationships with customers, partners, and developers worldwide.
We’re looking for a Director of Global Events to define where we show up, why we’re there, and how events drive measurable business impact. This role will own the end-to-end global events function, from strategic prioritisation and playbooks to ROI, vendor P&L and regional enablement, working closely with regional event leads (UK & EMEA, US, APAC), Sales, Product, Developer Relations and Partners to ensure every event ladders back to company goals and the 2026 GTM plan.
This role sits on the Product Marketing leadership team and focuses on three core pillars:
- Global events strategy & prioritisation: tiering, decision criteria, and calendar alignment to company, product and vertical priorities.
- Pipeline impact & commercial accountability: ensuring events generate qualified meetings, POVs and pipeline with a robust ROI model.
- Operational excellence & regional execution: playbooks, tracking, vendor governance and scale enablement for consistent global delivery.
You’ll have the autonomy to design new formats, experiment with how events are run, and evolve Nscale’s presence as an AI infrastructure leader. At Nscale, innovation isn’t just encouraged, it’s expected.
What You’ll Do
- Own the global events strategy. Define which event properties we attend, sponsor, host or partner on and why.
- Create tiering & decision frameworks. Build a single-source decision model (Tier-1 to community), with clear investment thresholds, success criteria, and approval gates before commitment.
- Drive the event to pipeline conversion. Design prescriptive pre/during/post event plays that convert activity into qualified meetings, POV-qualified accounts, MQLs, opportunities and measurable pipeline. Align account targeting and executive briefing plans with Sales and ABM for Top-200 priority accounts and vertical plays.
- Instrument events end-to-end. Ensure every event is tracked in CRM and the single growth dashboard. Own event KPIs, ROI model, and monthly reporting.
- Own playbooks and experience standards. Deliver global playbooks for booth & stage, partner zones, demo readiness, exec/technical speaker prep, registration & lead retrieval, on-site measurement and post-event nurture.
- Enable regional leads. Coach and scale regional Events Leads (US / APAC / UK-EMEA) to deliver locally relevant experiences while preserving global consistency and brand standards.
- Manage vendors & budgets. Run RFPs, negotiate SLAs, own supplier P&L, and optimise spend based on ROI and funnel performance.
- Partner cross-functionally. Work closely with Product Marketing, Product Growth, DevRel, Brand & Content, Partnerships and Customer Success to align messaging, technical demo requirements, partner co-marketing, and POV capture.
- Experiment & scale. Drive event experimentation (experience variants, formats, developer moments), iterate rapidly and scale what works into the global model.
Who You Are
- 8+ years’ experience in global events, field marketing or integrated marketing at technology companies, with demonstrable experience in strategy (not just execution).
- Proven commercial mindset, you measure events by pipeline, POVs and revenue influence, not vanity metrics.
- Experience working across regions and leading regional teams; comfortable with international travel and distributed execution.
- Strong cross-functional collaborator, track record partnering with Sales, ABM, Product, DevRel and Partnerships.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure; strong vendor and budget management skills.
- Data-driven with experience in instrumenting events in CRM/dashboards, defining event KPIs and optimising performance.
- Comfortable building playbooks and repeatable processes that reduce regional variance and increase velocity.
- Passionate about technology, AI and developer communities. Experience in developer events (KubeCon, meetups, hackathons) and partner-funded GTM is a plus.
What success looks like in the first 6 months
- Global event tiering, annual calendar and decision criteria formally adopted by Marketing & Sales.
- Event instrumentation live: Tier-1 events tracked end-to-end in CRM and marketing dashboards with baseline ROI reporting.
- Playbooks published and adopted by regional teams (pre/during/post, exec brief, partner zone, demo readiness).
- Regional contracts and vendor SLAs are in place, and a recurring events operating cadence established.
Why Nscale
At Nscale, we’re a team of builders, operators, and storytellers shaping the future of AI infrastructure. You’ll join a company where strategy and execution go hand in hand, and where events are treated as a core growth lever, not a checkbox.
If you’re excited by global scale, ownership, and the opportunity to define how a fast-growing AI company shows up on the world stage, this role is for you.
