About the Team

The Smartphone & OS team is the engine room of Nothing. We don’t just sell hardware; we’re building an ecosystem that makes tech fun again. Right now, we’re solving the challenge of breaking the smartphone duopoly by creating a software experience that feels human and a hardware aesthetic that stands out in a sea of sameness. We move fast because we’re small and independent, and this team is responsible for ensuring our London-born perspective resonates from Tokyo to New York. We are looking for a Director to own the "why" behind our most important products and lead the charge as we scale our Operating System into a world-class platform.

What You'll Do

  • Own the global marketing strategy and end-to-end business performance for the entire smartphone and software portfolio.

  • Lead the execution of high-impact go-to-market campaigns, ensuring every launch from pre-heat to lifecycle management breaks through the noise.

  • Drive the marketing vision by collaborating with Product and GTM teams to influence the future roadmap with deep consumer insights.

  • Direct cross-functional squads across Creative, Sales, and Operations to ensure our storytelling is seamless from a social post to a retail shelf.

  • Manage the global smartphone marketing budget, optimizing spend across channels to maximize brand reappraisal and customer acquisition.

  • Scale and mentor a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of sharp execution and creative bravery.

  • Establish and track rigorous KPIs, using real-time data to pivot strategies and maintain our edge in a fast-moving industry.

What We're Looking For

  • Extensive experience leading marketing for smartphones or high-growth consumer electronics, with a track record of building something better.

  • A natural driver who takes full ownership of projects and thrives in a fast-paced, independent environment.

  • Proven ability to launch complex products globally, showing the excellence required to manage multi-continent campaigns.

  • A pragmatic leader who balances bold creative vision with the operational grit needed to get things done.

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to turn hardware specs and software features into useful, human stories.

  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of aligning diverse teams and inspiring a shared point of view.

  • Deep understanding of the digital landscape, including eCommerce, influencer ecosystems, and community-led growth.
