About the Role
As our Regional Sales & Business Development Manager for Eastern Europe, you will be at the forefront of Nexxiot’s expansion in one of the most strategically important markets. You won’t just manage sales—you will lead the charge, driving new business with a relentless hunter mindset.
From identifying high-impact opportunities to closing transformative deals, you will be the engine behind our growth in the rail sector. Reporting to the Head of Rail Sales & Business Development, Europe, you will take our European go-to-market strategy and bring it to life locally—building a powerful sales pipeline, forging key relationships, and positioning Nexxiot as the innovation leader in rail digitalization.
Based in Warsaw and working remotely, you will travel constantly across Eastern Europe. As our regional ambassador, you will represent Nexxiot at top industry events, making our presence known and our impact felt.
Key Responsibilities
- New Business Acquisition:
- Identify and target high‐value prospects—rail operators, leasing firms, freight owners, and intermodal players.
- Drive the full sales cycle from cold outreach to contract signing, ensuring a smooth customer onboarding
- Inside & Outside Sales:
- Conduct virtual demos, discovery calls, and on-site meetings to showcase our IoT devices and analytics solutions.
- Develop and present compelling commercial proposals and negotiate terms.
- Solution Positioning:
- Translate customer needs into tailored IoT/SaaS solutions—highlighting device capabilities, connectivity, and analytics benefits.
- Lead technical discussions with engineering stakeholders to ensure alignment on solution requirements.
- Market & Competitive Intelligence:
- Monitor regional rail trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activity.
- Share valuable insights with the Product and Marketing teams to refine and enhance our product offerings.
- Event Representation:
- Represent Nexxiot at regional conferences, trade fairs, and networking events, generating leads and strengthening our industry presence.
- Strengthen Nexxiot’s market presence by building relationships with key industry players.
- Pipeline & Reporting:
- Maintain an up‑to‑date sales funnel in our CRM system.
- Provide regular, detailed forecasts and progress reports to the management team.
What We are Looking For
- Proven Hunter: 7+ years of hard sales and business‑development success in rail, asset/fleet management, SaaS, IoT, or related industries.
- Technical Fluency: Hands‑on understanding of electronics or sensor subsystems; able to lead technical conversations.
- Rail Industry Insight: Existing network and credibility with Eastern European rail operators or infrastructure stakeholders.
- Event Savvy: Comfortable presenting at and networking during trade shows and conferences.
- Languages & Mobility: Native in an Eastern European language. Professional language skills in English are a must, and German language is a plus. Willingness to travel frequently across the region.
- Hunter Mindset: Self-driven, tenacious, and motivated by quota-crushing results.
