 THE ROLE

We are seeking a talented and creative WordPress Web Designer to join our Comms and Branding team (C&B team). The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for web design and a deep understanding of WordPress functionalities. As a WordPress Web Designer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing new features and functionalities for WordPress websites as well as developing visually appealing and user-friendly new websites. You will establish and guide the website's architecture, ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop, and manage WordPress websites from concept to completion as well as new features and functionalities for WordPress websites.
• Maintain and update website layout as needed.
• Customize themes to align with our brand identities and requirements.
• Ensure high-performance and availability of the websites.
• Manage all technical aspects of the CMS.
• Implement best practices for SEO to improve website rankings.
• Monitor and analyze site performance using tools like G4 Analytics.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

• Proven experience as a WordPress Web Designer or similar role.
• Experience with online security best practices.
• Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuer and Sql.
• Experience designing and developing responsive design websites.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) or other design tools (Canva, Figma) and content management systems.
• Comfortable working with our IT team to debug tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
• Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages.
• A strong understanding of content management systems as well as ability to adapt to new technologies.
• Strong portfolio showcasing your web design and development projects.
• Understanding of SEO principles and best practices.
• Knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g., G4).
• SharePoint online experience would be advantageous.
