Senior QA Engineer

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our engineering team and play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our enterprise applications. You will work across the full testing spectrum , from manual exploratory testing to automated end-to-end test suites, covering both front-end applications and back-end APIs within a modern cloud-native environment.
You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and data engineers to embed quality throughout the entire software development lifecycle, championing best practices in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain manual and automated end-to-end test strategies that cover front-end applications and back-end APIs.
- Build and maintain robust automated test suites using the Cucumber BDD framework, ensuring tests are readable, maintainable, and aligned with business requirements.
- Perform thorough API testing using Postman, validating request/response contracts, authentication flows, error handling, and performance.
- Test and validate front-end applications across browsers and devices, ensuring functional correctness and a consistent user experience.
- Contribute to and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins), integrating automated tests into build and deployment workflows to enable continuous quality feedback.
- Participate in big data project testing, validating data integrity, pipeline outputs, and query results across large datasets.
- Conduct performance and load testing, identifying bottlenecks and working with engineering teams to drive resolutions.
- Write and execute SQL queries to validate data accuracy, consistency, and integrity at the database level.
- Manage and track defects, test cases, and QA progress using Jira, maintaining clear and organized documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning, story refinement, and retrospectives.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of professional experience in QA engineering, with a strong track record in both manual and automated end-to-end testing.
- Hands-on experience with the Cucumber BDD framework for building and maintaining automated test suites.
- Proven experience testing back-end APIs using Postman or equivalent tools, including REST API validation and contract testing.
- Proven experience testing applications that integrate with SAP.
- Solid experience testing front-end applications, including functional, regression, and cross-browser testing.
- Hands-on experience with GCP services, particularly testing data pipelines and validating BigQuery datasets.
- Hands-on experience integrating tests within CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools.
- Proficiency with Jira for test management, defect tracking, and sprint collaboration.
- Working knowledge of SQL, with the ability to write queries to validate data at the database level.
- Familiarity with Java sufficient to read, understand, and contribute to automated test code.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong written and oral communication abilities, including clear defect reporting and test documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented mindset and the ability to think critically about system behavior.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience testing applications integrated with SAP platforms or similar enterprise systems.
- Familiarity with performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, k6, Gatling).
- Experience working on big data projects, including validation of large-scale data transformations and pipeline outputs.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and experience contributing to quality automation within a DevOps culture.
- Familiarity with API contract testing and tools such as Pact or OpenAPI-based validation.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum or Kanban teams across the full software development lifecycle.
