We are looking for a Bilingual Development Focal:

Requirements:

•  7+ years of hands-on software development experience, with at least 3 in a tech lead or senior engineering role.
• Strong background in modern development practices: clean code, CI/CD, automated testing, code review culture.
• Experience working in distributed or nearshore/offshore delivery models.
• Background in retail tech, e-commerce, or enterprise product companies.
• Familiarity with agile / scrum delivery as a tech lead or architect (not necessarily as Scrum Master).
• Experience with cloud-native development (AWS, GCP or Azure).
• Previous client-facing or pre-sales solutioning experience.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, IaC basics) — enough to collaborate with the DevOps focal.
• High English level.

What will you do:

Technical governance

• Define and enforce engineering standards, coding conventions, and quality gates across Development PODs.
• Conduct architecture reviews and technical decision approvals for the POD teams.
• Identify technical risks early and escalate to the Digital Delivery Center Director with a remediation plan.
• Review sprint deliverables at key milestones.

Onboarding & team quality

• Approve engineer profiles submitted before they join a POD.
• Lead orientation sessions for every new engineer.
• Conduct the quality check-in to validate the engineer meets the bar.
• Sign off onboarding completion.

Client-facing responsibilities

• Attend bi-weekly technical sessions with stakeholders as the technical representative.
• Translate client needs into POD-level technical direction for the delivery team.
• Present technical progress, decisions, and risks at monthly reviews.
• Participate in Q-Meets when technical depth is needed.

Solutioning & pre-sales support

• Contribute to POD design and sizing during pre-sales and wave planning.
• Maintain and update solutioning documentation (runbooks, technical diagrams, process guides) per POD.
• Support the Digital Delivery Center Director in scope definition and rate card validation for Development PODs.
