THE OPPORTUNITY

Join our Supply Chain Management team in Munich and help shape the next generation of our mobile mapping products. As our Quality Engineer (F/M/D), you will strengthen our supplier and incoming quality processes as we scale production and ensure, that custom-developed and standard components meet our quality standards. You will collaborate closely with suppliers on nonconformities and drive continuous improvement across our supply chain. 

This role requires regular on-site collaboration at our Munich location. 

 

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Perform first sample inspections for newly developed custom parts  
  • Plan and prioritize incoming inspections using AQL frameworks  
  • Coordinate quality checks for serial production parts
  • Document and track nonconformities and communicate findings to suppliers  
  • Manage supplier corrective action processes (8D, SCAR) and ensure sustainable resolution of quality issues
  • Conduct supplier evaluations and risk assessments 
  • Perform on-site or remote supplier audits, especially key suppliers with elevated quality requirements or higher operational complexity 
  • Define and coordinate outgoing inspections for critical components 
  • Take ownership of supplier quality KPIs and drive measurable improvements, including: 
    • Nonconformity rates  
    • Supplier response/resolution times 
  • Maintain and improve incoming goods inspection documentation  
  • Identify systemic issues and implement sustainable improvements
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and internal quality standards

 

WHAT WILL HELP YOU SUCCEED IN THE ROLE

Core Requirements  

  • You bring relevant experience in quality engineering (e.g., several years of practical experience) 
  • Hands-on experience with:  
    • 8D Reports  
    • SCAR (Supplier Corrective Action Requests)  
    • AQL (Acceptance Quality Limit)  
  • Solid understanding of ISO 9001 or similar quality standards
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills 
  • Business-level English is required for the role; German skills are beneficial for collaboration with local stakeholders 

 

Preferred Requirements 

  • Experience with custom mechanical/electronic components  
  • Audit experience (internal or supplier audits)
  • Familiarity with ERP or QMS systems
  • Experience supporting or scaling hardware production environments
