Developer Relations Manager

About the role

Location: Remote (Full-Time)

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Developer Relations Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be the bridge between Monnify and the developer community, ensuring that developers have the tools, resources, and support they need to integrate and innovate with our payment solutions. You will create a developer-centric experience that makes it easy for developers to integrate Monnify payment solutions into their applications

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend Developer conferences
  • Build and nurture relationships with the developer community through our online platforms, social media, meetups, hackathons, and conferences.
  • Advocate for Monnify’s products and services to developers, providing technical guidance, support, and resources.
  • Develop and publish technical content, including blog posts, tutorials, sample code, and documentation, to help developers understand and use our APIs and SDKs.
  • Collect and relay feedback from the developer community to internal teams to help improve our products and services.
  • Conduct webinars, workshops, and training sessions to educate developers on our platform and best practices.
  • Identify and foster strategic partnerships with developer communities, tech hubs, and educational institutions.
  • Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to ensure our products meet the needs of developers and are easy to integrate.
  • Provide technical support to developers integrating Monnify’s solutions where needed
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive API documentation for developers.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies in the developer ecosystem.

To succeed in this role, we think you should have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Marketing or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding of product marketing concepts, community development and engagement skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to a diverse audience.
  • Proven track record of active participation in developer communities, open-source projects, or tech events.
  • Deep understanding of one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java) and experience with APIs, SDKs, and developer tools.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a passion for helping developers succeed.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, providing effective solutions to developers.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Passion for developer experience (DX) and creating a positive experience for developers.
  • Experience in the Nigerian fintech space is a plus.
