Job Summary

The Regulatory Compliance Manager supports the Regulatory Compliance function across the Group’s lottery and commercial gaming operations. The role is primarily responsible for preparing regulatory submissions, managing regulatory engagement and providing practical regulatory advice to support business initiatives.

In addition, the role contributes to ongoing regulatory compliance activities, including reporting, governance processes, updates to policies and procedures, regulatory tracking and horizon scanning.

The Regulatory Compliance Manager will act as key regulatory contact and support submissions and advisory work across the broader Commercial Gaming business.

 

Responsibilities

The Regulatory Compliance Manager will report to the Head of Regulatory Compliance. Responsibilities include:

1. Regulatory Submissions & Engagement

  • Engage with GCGRA on regulatory submissions, queries and approvals, including preparing responses and supporting regulatory discussions.
  • Lead preparation of regulatory submissions to GCGRA, including product approvals, internal control updates, waiver requests and formal notifications.
  • Draft and coordinate responses to regulatory information requests and queries.
  • Manage regulatory timelines, dependencies and submission documentation.
  • Support and contribute to regulatory meetings and engagements.

2. Regulatory Advice

  • Provide practical regulatory advice to support product development, technology changes and commercial initiatives.
  • Identify regulatory approval requirements and timing considerations early in project lifecycles.
  • Translate regulatory requirements into clear guidance for Product, Technology, Operations and Commercial teams.
  • Escalate material regulatory risks appropriately.

3. Business Partnering

  • Act as a key regulatory contact for the Commercial Gaming team.
  • Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure initiatives are structured in a regulatorily compliant manner.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to ensure regulatory requirements are correctly implemented in products and processes.

4. Regulatory Governance & Team Operations

  • Contribute to regulatory oversight activities across both Business Units.
  • Support preparation of regulatory reporting, management updates and Board-level reporting.
  • Provide regulatory advice and review in relation to business-owned policies and procedures, particularly where regulatory submissions or product changes require updates.
  • Support investigations into regulatory incidents or potential non-compliance matters.
  • Track regulatory actions, commitments and supervisory items through to completion.
  • Contribute to horizon scanning and assessment of regulatory developments and their impact on the business.
  • Contribute to the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of Regulatory Compliance team processes, templates and operating standards.
  • Support the ongoing enhancement of compliance processes and systems to ensure effective team delivery.
  • Maintain the highest standards of professional and ethical conduct at all times.

 

Requirements

  • Experience preparing regulatory submissions and formal responses to regulators.
  • Strong experience interpreting and applying regulatory frameworks in a commercial context.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex regulatory approval processes end to end.
  • Experience drafting structured regulatory advice to support business initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
  • Experience and proficiency in understanding, interpreting and implementing legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to engage confidently with stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and spoken, with the ability to prepare clear, persuasive submissions.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in regulatory compliance or regulatory advisory roles.
  • Experience in gaming, lottery, financial services or other regulated sectors preferred.
  • Ideally a degree in Business, Risk Management, Law or other relevant field.
