To strengthen our Product & Regulatory Compliance team, we are looking for a Senior Compliance Test Manager (all genders) Autonomous Vehicle to plan, coordinate, and accompany regulatory and homologation tests for EU and US deployment markets in close collaboration with authorities, technical services, and external test labs.
Your role at MOIA
As Senior Compliance Test Manager (all genders) Autonomous Vehicle, you are responsible for the end-to-end planning, organization, and execution support of compliance and approval tests in European and US regulatory environments.
You ensure that vehicles, backends, documentation, and stakeholders are fully prepared and aligned with development timelines, internal quality gates, and applicable approval frameworks (e.g. UNECE / EU Type Approval and US federal and state-level requirements).
You act as the central interface between MOIA, authorities, technical services, and external laboratories, and provide management-ready recommendations for compliance sign-off.
What you will do
- Plan, organize, and accompany regulatory and homologation tests with:
- Technical services and test organizations
- EU focus: e.g. TÜV, DEKRA, UTAC, ATEEL
- US focus: e.g. certified test labs, FMVSS test facilities
- Authorities and approval bodies
- EU: Type Approval Authorities under UNECE / EU WVTA
- US: NHTSA, EPA, state authorities, and delegated entities
- Technical services and test organizations
- Coordinate test activities in line with development milestones, quality gates, and market launch timelines
- Prepare vehicles, logistics, test setups and participant alignment for approval and compliance testing
- Act as the single point of contact during test execution for all involved internal and external parties
- Document test results in compliance and documentation tools, manage findings, and coordinate follow-up actions until closure
- Support clarification and communication with authorities in case of deviations, findings, or regulatory interpretation questions
What will help you to fulfill your role
- Several years of experience in regulatory, homologation, or product compliance testing, ideally in the autonomous vehicle industry with motivation to expand
- Solid understanding of vehicle approval frameworks, such as:
- EU / UNECE regulations and type approval processes, and/or
- US FMVSS, NHTSA processes, and state-level deployment requirements
- Confidence in working with:
- Technical services and approval authorities
- External conformity and compliance test laboratories
- Hands-on experience using planning and compliance tools such as:
- Jira for test planning, tracking, and findings management
- Vanta, Confluence / SharePoint for documentation and regulatory evidence
- Experience managing regulatory ambiguity and evolving approval frameworks
- Business fluent English and German skills
