Join us as a (Senior) Brand Design Manager (all genders) in our Brand team and help shape the future of autonomous mobility!
As a (Senior) Brand Design Manager, you'll be joining the Brand team - a cross-functional group of nine. The team brings together brand strategy, band design & motion, brand management, and brand content expertise.
In your role as a (Senior) Brand Design Manager, you'll sit at the heart of the Brand Design unit within this team. Your closest collaborators will be our Senior Brand Designer, the Motion Lead and the Brand Design Working Student - a small, hands-on creative team that you'll coordinate and enable day-to-day – including freelancers.
The Brand Design Team is responsible for developing, safeguarding, and activating MOIA’s brand identity across all creative touchpoints. The team combines strategic brand thinking with creative execution to deliver consistent, high-quality design and content solutions. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners, the team supports business objectives through clear, distinctive, and scalable brand and creative assets.
What you will do
- Act as the central contact for brand design requests across the organization, coordinating initiatives with internal teams, freelancers, and external partners
- Plan, prioritize, and manage the Brand Design team's workload, ensuring a balanced setup across senior designers, lead roles, and external support
- Own the quality of brand design briefs by clarifying requirements, defining scopes, and establishing clear priorities before execution
- Translate business and brand needs into clear design frameworks and priorities - shaping solutions, not just managing requests
- Support the development of MOIA's brand identity, ensuring consistent and high-quality application across all channels and touchpoints
- Create, maintain, and manage brand design assets, libraries, guidelines, and mandatories, keeping them accessible and up to date
- Further develop brand design processes, tools, and workflows to increase efficiency, clarity, and creative quality
- Lead collaboration with agencies, freelancers, and suppliers from briefing through to delivery
What will help you to fulfill your role
- Professional experience in brand design, brand management, or a comparable role, ideally within an in-house brand or brand design team
- Strong understanding of brand identity systems and their application across channels - digital, motion, print, and physical touchpoints
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, freelancers, and agencies - you understand creative processes and know how to work effectively with external partners
- Confidence in capacity planning, prioritization, and coordination across multiple projects and stakeholders in agile, fast-paced environments
- Hands-on experience with AI-powered design and productivity tools (e.g. Midjourney, ChatGPT, Claude or similar) - or a genuine openness to adopting them, we see AI fluency as an essential part of modern brand work
- Hands-on, structured, and reliable working style with a sharp eye for detail and quality
- A strong team player who creates clarity, transparency, and shared ownership -enabling the team to focus on their core creative work
- Familiarity with design tools and brand asset management systems (Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft 365, Miro, Jira)
- Fluent in English; German is a plus
