Senior Risk Manager (all genders)- Legal, Governance & Corporate Affairs

Join us as a Senior Risk Manager (all genders) as part of Legal, Governance & Corporate Affairs and help shape the future of autonomous mobility!
In Legal, Governance & Corporate Affairs, we create the guardrails that help MOIA move fast and responsibly. We connect governance, compliance, and business priorities, so teams can make confident decisions while meeting regulatory and stakeholder expectations.
Reporting to the VP Legal, Governance & Corporate Affairs, you will develop MOIA’s risk management function end-to-end, from enterprise risk assessments to actionable mitigation, working as a senior individual contributor with the opportunity to grow as the function scales.
What you will do
- Build and continuously improve MOIA’s risk management function (principles, processes, governance, and reporting) and make it scalable and business-friendly.
- Drive enterprise risk assessments (incl. workshops and deep dives), challenge assumptions constructively, and ensure risks are clearly articulated, prioritized, and owned.
- Operationalize risk frameworks by translating them into pragmatic routines (risk register, KRIs, mitigation tracking) that support decision-making and execution.
- Partner closely with risk owners across the organization, align on risk appetite, clarify accountability, and follow through on mitigation plans with clear timelines.
- Collaborate with Compliance, Internal Control System (ICS), Internal Audit, Governance, Finance, Product, Safety, Legal, and Corporate Affairs, as well as key stakeholders like MOIA America, on cross-cutting topics such as controls discussions, assurance activities, and incident learnings.
- Contribute to MOIA’s evolving governance model by defining interfaces, cadences, and decision formats that strengthen transparency and accountability.
- Create executive-ready risk narratives and recommendations for leadership, turning complexity into options and next steps.
What will help you to fulfill your role
- Several years of professional experience in enterprise, operational, or financial risk management (or a closely related field such as internal controls/ICS, internal audit, or compliance), ideally in a fast-paced, scaling environment.
- Track record of building pragmatic risk processes and governance that teams actually use, without slowing down delivery.
- Strong analytical skills and sound judgement: you can structure ambiguity, challenge constructively, and translate insights into clear recommendations.
- Excellent stakeholder management and facilitation skills: comfortable working with senior leaders as well as operational teams.
- Hands-on ownership mindset: you connect strategy and execution, follow through, and help drive mitigation to completion.
- Experience with risk frameworks and methods, and confidence working with data and tools to support decisions.
- Fluent in German and English, with the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional, international teams.
We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds — even if you don’t meet every requirement. If you’re excited about the role and MOIA’s mission, we’d love to hear from you!
