VP Insights, North America

New York

At Modo Energy, we're building the global standard for benchmarking and valuing the world's electrification assets - unlocking returns for battery energy storage, solar, wind and data centres.

The Opportunity

This is your chance to become the defining voice in US power markets.

As VP of Insights at Modo Energy, you’ll lead the team that sets the standard for how storage, solar, wind, and data center assets are valued and understood. Our research and media are already trusted by the industry’s top investors, asset owners, and utilities — now we want you to take it to the next level.

You’ll be the face of Modo in the US: on stage at conferences, quoted in the press, and shaping how billions of dollars of assets are evaluated. This is a role for an operator with elite standards, a builder who thrives in growth-stage environments, and a leader ready to make Modo the most trusted source of truth in North America.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and scale our US Research and Industry teams (currently 9 people, growing fast).
  • Build paid subscription research into the go-to product for US power markets.
  • Drive our media and market presence, ensuring Modo becomes the most trusted voice in the space.
  • Be a visible figurehead at conferences, in media, and with customers.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain only A-players — set the bar high, and never settle for mediocrity.
  • Work closely with our CEO (NYC-based) and the global leadership team across Revenue, Product, and Marketing.
  • Travel regularly to conferences across the US, plus quarterly to Europe.

What We're Looking For

  • Sector insider: You’ve lived US power markets — in storage, solar, wind, or trading. You already have the network.
  • Operator, not consultant: You’ve run deals, teams, or business units. You know what it means to be accountable.
  • Growth-stage DNA: At least once, you’ve thrived in a lean, <150-person company. You know how to build, not just manage.
  • Elite standards: You set the bar high, have zero tolerance for mediocrity, and can inspire others to do their best work.
  • Exceptional communicator: Clear, compelling, confident — whether on stage, in writing, or one-to-one.
  • Talent magnet: You love the challenge of hiring 10x people and building high-performance teams.

Why Join Us

  • Become a core part of Modo’s global leadership team.
  • Take a high-growth, revenue-driving business and make it industry-defining.
  • Equity upside in a scaling SaaS/Insights company at the forefront of the energy transition.
  • Work with a team that prizes speed, excellence, and impact — and lives by clear leadership principles.

👉 Modo Energy is where operators thrive. If you’re ready to set the standard for insights in the US power markets — and be the face of it — we’d love to talk.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
