As an Operations Financial Manager you are responsible for providing financial and accounting oversight for their assigned business units within the Michels Family of Companies. Success in this role requires a strong understanding of key business initiatives to deliver accurate and timely financial insights to leadership. Key skills include the ability to analyze and document information, make sound and timely decisions, and effectively communicate or educate business leaders on relevant financial matters.

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team, including hiring, training, and developing employees. Provide regular feedback and performance evaluations, foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment, and make decisions regarding promotions, disciplinary actions, and terminations. Ensure team alignment with organizational goals and support continuous professional growth
- Serve as the point of contact for inquiries from business leads. Maintain and ensure compliance with department service levels as established. Resolve issues, if possible, and escalate issues to management when necessary
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual operational reporting and analytics processes. Measure, analyze and report key financial performance metrics
- Provide resources and information to meet business needs. Maintain open communication with business leads to ensure coordination of finance and accounting needs
- Lead special projects to strengthen analysis and implement process and system enhancements. Work with Information Technology and other functional/process teams to execute on projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree with preference to Finance or Accounting, and 7+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel)
- Experience working within an ERP driven financial management environment
- Intermediate to advanced experience with financial reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Experience in financial consolidation (desired)
- Construction industry experience (desired)
- A valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles you may be driving and an acceptable driving record
