A HR Coordinator- Benefits, administers employee benefit programs and provides guidance on benefits-related matters. This role serves as the primary point of contact for employee questions regarding benefits and wellness initiatives while ensuring compliance with all applicable benefits regulations and laws. Success in this position requires maintaining strict confidentiality, demonstrating a strong sense of urgency, taking ownership of responsibilities, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities:
- Review and approve benefit elections to ensure all necessary information is provided. Enter benefit deductions into applicable payroll system
- Serve as the point of contact to employees and insured family members. Provide timely, understandable, and complete information to educate customers on benefit offerings
- Perform confidential employee record maintenance relating to the administration of benefits and maintain employee benefit files
- Track and ensure compliance with paid state leave laws
- Complete benefit orientations, ensuring the highest level of customer service is provided
- Maintain and distribute materials to ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, and/or local codes or ordinances
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree, and 2+ years of relevant HR experience and/or training, or equivalent combination
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Human Resources (desired)
- Experience working in customer service (desired)
- PHR/SHRM-CP Certification (desired)
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (desired)
