It takes technical leadership, engineering coordination, and the ability to align stakeholders around practical solutions. At Michels Infrastructure Solutions, Inc. (MIS), our teams partner with customers, engineers, and construction professionals to transform complex concepts into successful project outcomes while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and performance. As the General Contractor and EPC delivery arm of the Michels Family of Companies, MIS delivers some of North America's most complex mission-critical, hyperscale, and infrastructure projects. Our teams combine engineering expertise, construction experience, and innovative problem-solving to execute projects that support technology, connectivity, and economic growth.

Position Overview
As an Engineering Project Manager, you will lead the technical planning, coordination, and execution of complex data center and critical infrastructure projects from concept development through construction execution. You will serve as the primary link between engineering, construction operations, customers, and project stakeholders to ensure technical requirements, project objectives, and constructability considerations are successfully integrated into project delivery. In this role, you will oversee engineering deliverables, coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, support proposal and preconstruction efforts, and provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle. Success requires strong engineering judgment, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to translate technical concepts into practical construction solutions while maintaining safety, quality, schedule, and budget expectations. This position is ideal for a technically driven leader who enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges, collaborating across disciplines, and contributing to the successful delivery of mission-critical projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical planning and engineering coordination efforts for data center and large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Coordinate engineering deliverables between internal teams, consultants, contractors, vendors, and customers.
  • Review drawings, specifications, site development plans, and technical documentation to ensure project requirements are accurately incorporated into execution plans.
  • Support proposal development, scope definition, constructability reviews, and technical solution development during project pursuit and preconstruction phases.
  • Identify technical risks, design conflicts, and project challenges while developing practical solutions that support project objectives.
  • Collaborate with construction teams to ensure engineering intent, design requirements, and project execution strategies remain aligned throughout delivery.

What You'll Do

  • Manage engineering and technical project activities for hyperscale data center and mission-critical infrastructure developments.
  • Facilitate collaboration between engineering, construction, procurement, and project controls teams to drive successful project outcomes.
  • Lead technical reviews of project documents, civil plans, specifications, estimates, and engineering deliverables.
  • Support project planning, phasing, scheduling, and execution strategies by incorporating engineering and constructability considerations.
  • Monitor project progress, technical performance, and stakeholder requirements to help maintain schedule and budget objectives.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, engineering partners, and project stakeholders while serving as a trusted technical resource throughout project delivery.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 07/31/2029

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
