A Maintenance Technician works under direct supervision to develop skills while supporting ongoing improvements to equipment, maintenance systems, and processes, helping to maximize overall efficiency, effectiveness, and reliability. Strong attention to detail is essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:
- Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of shop equipment and supplies. Promote continuous improvement of workplace safety
- Assist in the repair of HVAC equipment, fixtures, systems, and other equipment at facility as required
- Assist with preventative maintenance and basic repairs on overhead cranes and other equipment in shops and around the building
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs and maintenance to shop equipment, with assistance
- Assist with a variety of plumbing maintenance for water, gas and oil
- Properly dispose of waste, used oil, aerosol, used filters and any other non-biodegradable substances
- Operate equipment such as lifts, forklifts, etc
Qualifications:
- 0-3 years of experience
- Mechanical aptitude
- Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge
- Prior experience with equipment operations
- Must possess a valid drivers license for the type(s) of vehicles which may be driven, and an acceptable driving record as determined by the Michels Review Team (desired)
