The Role
As a Construction Manager – Industrial Electrical, you will provide leadership across all phases of complex electrical construction projects, with a strong emphasis on safety, planning, execution, and operational excellence. You will be responsible for reinforcing a best-in-class safety culture while partnering with internal teams, clients, and field leadership to deliver projects efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion and promote a strong safety culture for employees, contractors, vendors, and customers while ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Support preconstruction and planning efforts through:
- Field site visits and route evaluations.
- Identifying construction risks and mitigation strategies.
- Determining optimal construction methodologies and sequencing.
- Participate in estimating and bid-development activities by:
- Providing production rates and constructability input.
- Recommending manpower, equipment, and resource requirements for large-scale, high-voltage transmission projects.
- Partner with Superintendents, General Foremen, and Foremen to:
- Schedule work, crews, tools, and equipment for maximum efficiency.
- Minimize travel time and operational downtime.
- Collaborate with Project Engineers and Project Managers to update schedules, track progress, and support project execution through completion.
- Provide leadership in commissioning-intensive environments and support project closeout activities as required.

What It Takes
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in electrical construction projects.
- OSHA 30 or equivalent safety training.
- Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and IBC codes and standards.
- Proven ability to review, interpret, and optimize construction drawings, schematics, layouts, and wiring diagrams.
- Valid driver’s license appropriate for required vehicle types and an acceptable driving record.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong field background; General Foreman or Superintendent experience preferred.
- Experience with medium-voltage systems (13.8kV and above).
- Experience with generator installations and paralleling gear.
- Ability to interpret complex construction drawings and specifications.
- Experience participating in BIM coordination meetings (Navisworks/Revit exposure preferred).
- Proven success in commissioning-heavy project environments.
