Position Overview
The Associate Project Manager – Overhead Transmission Line Construction supports the execution of high‑voltage overhead transmission line projects, including new‑build, rebuild, and upgrade work. This role assists with planning, coordination, and implementation of core project management processes while working closely with Project Managers, field supervision, and project teams.
You’ll gain direct, hands‑on experience supporting transmission line construction scopes, including structure installation, conductor stringing, foundation work, and right‑of‑way coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Support planning and execution of overhead transmission line construction projects
- Assist with project schedules, cost tracking, budgets, and reporting
- Coordinate with field crews, foremen, subcontractors, engineers, and utility representatives
- Support material logistics, equipment tracking, and documentation control
- Participate in safety planning, job briefings, and compliance initiatives
- Provide onsite project support throughout long‑term transmission assignments
- Assist with change management, productivity tracking, and project closeout activities

What It Takes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with job cost tracking or construction estimating software is a plus
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to travel and commit to long‑term, onsite transmission project assignments
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to learn, take initiative, and grow as responsibilities and technical challenges evolve
